User :   I have a sore hardening area in my breast. It feels like a thick strap that starts right above my left breast, upper chest, and can be felt down to almost my nipple where it gets larger. It is sore if you push on the area, this is the same that side that my children constantly dig their elbows in when they are sitting with me. Should I be concerned or could it judt be a muscle? Very concerned. Thank you
Doctor :   Hi
User :   Hi Dr.
Doctor :   Do you see any skin changes over it ?
User :   no, nothing different at all
Doctor :   Is it like a mass , can you make out its shape on palpation ?
User :   if i lean on my arm or change positions it goes away. If i lay flat you can almost not feel anything at all. It is when I sit straight up or stand that you can really feel it. It honestly feels like a long thick strap. There is no marble or pebble shape to it
User :   I have been messing with it all day and tonight it is sore.
Doctor :   ok can you make out its thickness?
User :   it is very thick, like if I put my hand on the top of my breast it feels like its hard across my entire hand
Doctor :   ok, Did you had fever in recent times ?
User :   nope, just some elbowing to the area by a 3 and 4 year old
Doctor :   ok, it probably is patch of mastitis , for hich you may be needing antiinflammatories
User :   ok, it doesn't sound like cancer, does it?
Doctor :   i suggest you to take a tab of Ibuprofen 400mg twice a day after food for 3 days , if you do not see any change then you may need to be examined by a gynecologist
Doctor :   no ,it does not give any clue into cancer
User :   that is good to hear! do you reccommend motrin?
Doctor :   yes, that is fine
User :   is tylenol ok too?
Doctor :   Yes, but Ibuprofen would be better
User :   Thank you so much for your help with this. I will be able to sleep much better tonight and not be concerned I have cancer.
Doctor :   you are welcome
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me
Doctor :   Kindly provide your feedback
User :   I definitely will. Thank you again
