User :   My sister has small cell lung cancer. It was discovered that on December 24th it had metastasised to the brain. She received 5 radium treatments at the end of January and also was on steroids. This was for palliative purposes. She has been slow on her feet since the end of January. She now needs a wheelchair when walking more that 10 meters as she gets breathless and does not have the strength she once had. She is mentally ok but says her hearing has disproved. Her sight is not as good as it used to be and she is beginning to see a lot of black spots (floaters). The brain tumour increase is obvious from looking at her eyes. She gets frustrated when more than one person is talking at the same time particularly when the voices are loud. She is on pain management. She is talking about getting her affairs in order and even though her mental ability seems to be in order she is showing some signs of forgetfulness. She is not eating well. She feels sick as if wanting to vomit and is on anti sickness pills for this. Her swallowing is difficult and when she eats it is always only a small amount which has to be soft. The wheeze on her chest is obvious when sleeping. She has a cough and three nights ago coughed up a blood clot. My question is how long does my sister have left and will her hearing and sight go?
