User :   i am recovering after bypass surgery 7 weeks ago. Apart from still having soreness of the wound and upper chest i have progressed my activity levels well. I am walking 1 mile per day in 30 minutes. However today has been a disaster. i only managed 100 yards before having to rest due to fatigue and breathlessness similar to symptons before the surgey. i continued for 400 yards with frequent stops but my wife had to go for car to take me home. Apart from fatigue heart rate was only 60 after all this! Has been down to 40 whilst resting today but has suddenly increased to 60.This variation is not unusual for me as rate changes in both speed and pattern quite frequently.Beta blockers have been reduced over 7 weeks from 10mg to 1.25mg per day.
Doctor :   hello

Doctor :   so your concern is about today ?
Doctor :   may i know your age and gender ?
User :   Yes, mainly but I had concerns re low heart rate which seem to have crystallised today.
Doctor :   did you noticed any pain in your chest today ?
User :   No
Doctor :   may i know your age and gender ?
User :   male 64
Doctor :   are you diabetic ?
User :   no - and 6ft - 13 stone
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   so this is the first time it happened?
User :   yes
Doctor :   usually it should not happen and after 7 weeks you should be able to do all your regular activities
Doctor :   so i would suggest you do get physical examination done and not take it lightly
User :   thank yoy, will do
Doctor :   do you smoke ?
User :   no. not for 30 years. I have a rash on upper chest and around wound which is almost non-existent on morning but by evening quite pronounced with occasional small white heads. Repaets this timetable daily!
Doctor :   ok thats good , yes i would suggest you to go to your physician and then get a complete examination done . the complications of bypass are rare but do happen and if it is caught early the prognosis is excellent
Doctor :   is the rash itchy ?
User :   thanks
