User :   i need to enquire something abt my son who is abt 13 months old

User :   since we have him the MMR injection a week back.. he seems to have lost appetite
Doctor :   How do you say that ?
User :   well his eating pattern has changed since we got him tht injection
User :   he is very kanky and refused to eat
User :   to feed him millk also, we have to wait till he goes to bed
Doctor :   Is he having any pain in the Site or having any Fever or Swelling locally or loose motions
User :   he passes motion abt 3 time a day which is semi watery..
Doctor :   How is he other wise able to do his activities and play around without much of fuss
User :   we dun see/feel any pain
User :   he is very active in playing around
User :   we checked his temparature yesterday and it was abt 36.4

User :   no problem.. juz he has some rash

User :   the buttocks area

User :   no fever was noted when we checked his temparature yesterday

User :   he used to eat well but for the past 3/4 days he doesnt like to eat

Doctor :   6 per cent of children develop a rash or another reaction after receiving the MMR vaccine, but the reaction is usually mild and doesn't require treatment
Doctor :   The rash can appear anytime between three and 28 days after the vaccination, although it usually shows up around the seven to tenth day
User :   so you suggest not to see any doctor or take any medication?
Doctor :   did the child develop this rash soon after injection was given?
User :   it developed abt 7 days after the injection
Doctor :   it will occur in 6% of kids
Doctor :   usually milk reaction
Doctor :   if he develops fever or difficulty breathing, vomiting, swelling of the lips, or extreme weakness.

User :   he is abt 10kg at the moment.. is tht ok?
Doctor :   u can wait, if the rash spreads or he develops these problems

User :   it seems everytime he has these injections.. he gets all the fevers and lack of appetitie
User :   any way to help him not to lose appetite after these vaccines

Doctor :   start feeding him fruit juice once he is fine
Doctor :   dont force to feed the kid
Doctor :   he wont eat
Doctor :   let him eat what he likes
User :   he likes to eat carrots, cucumber
Doctor :   when u force a kid he will in all probability choose not to eat
Doctor :   give him small bits if he is able to chew it
Doctor :   juice would be ideal at this age
User :   i guess we indians like to force feed kids if they dun eat
Doctor :   solid foods they will start to eat slowly
User :   what juice do u suggest?
Doctor :   yes please dont do that
Doctor :   most kids dont like someone forcing
Doctor :   apple or orange
Doctor :   warm it a bit
Doctor :   before u feed
User :   so fresh juice should be ok.?
Doctor :   gradually u increase the amount u give him

User :   we usually give him luke warm
Doctor :   with change in food taste
