User:thats right
Doctor:And you may be having a family history of it too ?
User:my paternal uncles yep

Doctor:or androgenic alopecia
User:androgenic alopecia,
User:male pattern baldness
Doctor:yes, that is right

User:i went to a hairline clinic in bangalore and had a bad experience
User:yes i use trichomin and then take iron tablets
Doctor:what treatment was offered there ?
User:they first offered laser comb treatment and they wanted me to go for PRP
User:but they goofed up the entire tething
User:they did a biopsy without my consent and then they wanted another one as they lost the report
User:i found them very unprofessional and money minded.
Doctor:that is unfortunate
User:yeah, so i disconuted them
Doctor:since it was their mistake, they should do the procedure, free of cost
Doctor:you can definitely ask for damages
User:but the thing is they took blood sample and they lost the reprot
User:and frankly i ddi not the have the courage to continue treatment with them
User:i paid 12k intitally and got back 6K

User:i bought a bottle which was 4.5K and and have some left
User:i think my hair fall has reduced
User:but i feel i m balding in the middle and back
Doctor:Tricomin is a superoxide dismutase formed from a metal complexed peptide. This works as a hair growth stimulant by improving collagen synthesis and possibly repairing skin and hair function.
Doctor:it helps in hair repair
User:oh okay
Doctor:but the efficasy is not checked in genetic conditions like yours
User:should i buy one more of it or what should i do doctor?
User:oh okay
Doctor:I would advise, you to under go treatment with Medications, like alpha reductase type 2 inhibitors
Doctor:which will help to prevent hair loss and help in hair growth
Doctor:but , the effect can vary much
User:i am hearing about this term for the first time
User:can you pleaes explain
Doctor:the medicine, diminishes the progression of androgenetic alopecia in males who are treated, and, in many patients, it has stimulated new regrowth.
Doctor:but this medication needs long term treatment
Doctor:it must be continued indefinitely because discontinuation results in gradual progression of the disorder.
User:and any side effects?
Doctor:no, In male patients, there are no major effects
User:what exactly is that?
User:is that a medicine? which needs to be taken
Doctor:yes, it is a medicine
Doctor:its not a procedure
Doctor:and the medicine, has to be taken for a very long time
Doctor:but, since that may be very expensive, I would suggest a better and economical way
Doctor:Have you heart about actors like XXXXXXX willis, and sport starts like Beckham ?
User:heard of them.
Doctor:You realise that they are bald
User:beckham not really
User:is he?
User:may be i did not notice.
Doctor:yes, in many instances, he has gone bald
User:oh okay
User:plesae continue doctor.
Doctor:since your condition, is progressive, and the treatment in many cases, does not help , I would suggest, you can either use a wig OR change your hairstyle
Doctor:my advice may appear very strong and may not seem good
User:i dont want to use a wig but what kind of hairstyle is good.
User:no i understand, i
Doctor:but, instead of having hair, that is reducing, and appears unsightly, ... change of hairstyle may be a good alternnative
User:i have tried dcotrs and what i understand is there is sno permanent cure and other treatments which are very expesive.
User:may not be a right question to doctor but what kind of hair style should i try?
Doctor:by change of hairstyle, I mean taking all of your hair off, (Sorry, I dont mean to be offensive )
User:mm, i thought about it
Doctor:Baldness, can be tried as a style, in men, who are losing hair
User:but i come from a traditional family where it will not go well at all.
Doctor:it is much better than , worrying about losing hair
Doctor:i understand
Doctor:In india, Hair has a good face value
Doctor:but , at the same time, people ridicule those who are losing hair
User:i agree.
Doctor:and this stigma, does cause people to go into depresion
Doctor:So, My advice, in case, you agree, is think about it, and change your thoughts
User:i see your point doctor.
Doctor:if you appear happy with your decision, people will also agree with u
Doctor:if u think, its a bad decision, then people will say, yes, its not good
Doctor:its all about your perception about things
User:is there any general thing which i can do to thicken my hair
User:they are actually transplanted.
Doctor:people all over the world, spend millions , over a thing, which they cannot actually see
User:i was thinking i will keep very short ahir
Doctor:they do it just to show off for other people
User:i emant thckcen my hair which are transplanted.
Doctor:that , you can do, with the medication, that i had discussed earlier
Doctor:but you will need a long term treatment with it
Doctor:and the drug may be expensive
User:when you say expensive how much would that be?
Doctor:it can be from upto 1000 INR, per bottle to 5000 INR
User:okay doctor..
Doctor:You can consult with a dermatologist, who can advice you accordingly
Doctor:and prescribe you the proper medication
User:oh oaky
Doctor:since there is a demand for the medicaiton , the drug is expensive
User:i see
Doctor:and the manufacturers, do keep the price up
User:would u suggest a good dermatologist?
Doctor:which place ?
User:in bangalore
Doctor:please give me a few minutes
