User :   I have a question about my daughter.

User :   She has been very sick for the past 5 months will recurrent infections. She is runs a fever about every 2-3 weeks for appx. 3-4 days. Sometimes with not other symptoms. She complains of leg pain and severe head aches.

User :   She recently had labs done and here are the results. WBC- 7.0 RBC- 4.3 HGB- 10.6 - L Hematocrit- 33 L MCV- 77.8 L MCH- 24.6 L MCHC- 31.7 L RDW- 14.7 PLT CT- 172 MPV 6.7 L NEUT%- 45.7 H LYMPH%-30.0 L MONO%- 20.7 H EOSIN%-1.0 L BASO%- 2.6 H NEUT AB- 3.2 LYMPH AB- 2.1 L MONO AB- 1.4 H EOSIN AB- 0.1 BASO AB- 0.2 SED RATE- 28 - H Carbon Dioxide- 19.0- L Creatinine- 0.4- L AST- 41- H Mono Spot Test- Positive

User :   Do you notice a pattern of fever ?
User :   yes, she usually has them about ever 2-3 weeks.

User :   there may have been a few times she has gone 3.5-4 weeks but not often.
User :   did you record the temperature ?
User :   Yes. They range from about 101-103

User :   Monospot test is antibody test
User :   which antibody did they test?
User :   because as you say it positive.
User :   I believe EBV. I am not sure, but the PA my daughter sees said that she had mono.

User :   Did you see a child specialist ?
User :   No. We have not.
User :   since the mono spot test is positive
User :   this is a viral infection
User :   which reduces on its own
User :   but the recovery takes a much longer time
User :   and importantly you have to see a child specialist
User :   My concern is that she is only 2 1/2 and that Leukemia presents in the same was as mono. Do you see anything in her labs that show concern as far as that goes?
User :   to examine for enlargement for spleen and lever
User :   Only labs can confirm it
User :   spleen is most important
User :   if you have a comment written by a child specialist in the prescription that would help me
User :   we need serial labs
User :   I do not understand what you are needing.
User :   i need information on Abdominal Examination

User :   I also need lymph enlargement
User :   on examination
User :   I did forget to mention that her abdomen is very distended. I mentioned this to the PA who without examining her said it could possibly be gas.
