User :   i have a question regarding CT Scan

User :   had an abdomnial ultrasound findingsa fatty liver and 1cm x 2 cm hypodense mass on left kidney radiologist recommedned a "dedicated CT scan .. what would be dedicated for this?

Doctor :   here there are 2 things
Doctor :   1. fatty liver which is very common finding which I explain , is not worrisome
Doctor :   2. Hypo dense mass mass : most common could be hemangioma
User :   do i need an abdominal and pelvic ct scan for this?
Doctor :   Because Ultrasound has vague image , CT scan will view the mass clearly
Doctor :   You just need Upper abdominal CT

Doctor :   Most of the hemangiomas do not cause any symptoms
Doctor :   They are detected when going for other tests
