User :   Hi. My left eye has pain behind it and my eyelid is drooping. Maybe a generalized ache behind and around the eye is another description. Onset was after a fitful sleepless night featuring what might be described as a writhing in pain type migraine. Am being treated with amoxyillin 875 2x daily-- sinus infection. Repeating myself and forgetfulness of medical codes at work are also scary symptoms.. I am getting very concerned
Doctor :   hello
User :   Hi
Doctor :   give me a min please
User :   Also have had night sweats . sometimes up to 3x a night, neding to change shirt
Doctor :   let me go thru your query
Doctor :   may i know your age and gender please
User :   Male, almost 50
Doctor :   since how long have you been on the medication ?
User :   Since the 14th Jan
Doctor :   and how long have you been prescribed the dose ?
User :   timeline confusion ade it hard to rememer
Doctor :   does this problem was before you stared with he medication ?
User :   for 21 days.. The eyelid has just been since thursday
User :   21 days prescription. Eyelid and forgetfulness since 1/19
Doctor :   well it can be a extension of the sinus infection
Doctor :   its nothing serious and the course itself will take care of it
User :   I had a cat scan and it revealed sinuses were clear- no explanation or eyelid and fogetulness offered
Doctor :   i see
Doctor :   since when have the forgetfulness started
User :   Wednesday night-- Thursday early am.. after the night with the writhing migraine type head pain
Doctor :   i see
User :   At work, I was unable to recall many codes-- and how to clock in on the computer-- quite frightening
Doctor :   well my suggestion to you would be to carry on with the complete course and the symptoms will subside
Doctor :   as what you have told me are typical symptoms of a infection causing it
Doctor :   so we need to first make sure we complete the medication
Doctor :   and then only further evaluation is needed
User :   Why is my eyelid drooping and what is causing the pain? why am I forgetful? what if it is viral? I did experience blurry vision the night of the head pain
Doctor :   what all tests you have undergone ?
Doctor :   to diagnose the sinus infection
User :   only the CT scan
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   well no blood tests ?
User :   I originally presented at one clinic or flu symptoms but the nasal swab indicated no influenza so they did not treat. no blood tests
Doctor :   well you do need a blood test
User :   What will they be screening for? Should I see an Opthalmologist? Neurologist?
Doctor :   well a CT is a very comprehensive test
Doctor :   so that rules out a serious illness
Doctor :   you should see a neurologist
User :   Drooping eyelid-- does this belong to any number of issues?
Doctor :   it can be a condition called mysthenia gravis
Doctor :   but you need to see a neurologist for further evaluation
User :   ok
