User :   Are you able to pull up my last live chat and see its content? I have a couple of questions that have come up since, but don't want to start over.
Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   yes, i can do that , please wait while i go through it
User :   Have you been able to go through it, Yet?
Doctor :   yes, i had been through , lets proceed
User :   Since that time, two of the 19 pathologists that confirmed 100% that my daughter DOES NOT have cancer, but instead, Kikuchi Fujimoto Disease, have called her to discuss this diagnosis. They said all 19 pathologists are in complete agreement and she is not facing cancer. She was assigned an oncologist while the tests were being completed and this oncologist is not comfortable with the diagnosis due to the fact that the one node lit up in the PET SCAN. We think her recommendation that they should excise and biopsy the remaining node is not right. Isn't it reasonable to think that the node is also affected by the disease and not lymphoma? Afterall, swelling nodes that are painful, are the key point in this disease. She has more nodes swelling all the time, she spikes a fever every day, all symptoms of Kikuchi Fujimoto Disease. We think that since she is an oncologist, that she is thinking of cancer and not connecting to the diseese of her diagnosis. It doesn't seem reasonable to want to continue to biopsy nodes when we know what she has and her symptoms are all in line with the disease.
Doctor :   May i ask when was the start of the symptom , when was the diagnosis made and the PET ?
User :   four months ago she noticed the swelling nodes......diagnosis made about a month scan done 5 weeks ago.
Doctor :   so it was after 3 to 4 months the PET scan was made ?
Doctor :   Lymphoma is more invasive than the K F disease
Doctor :   hence by this time more than a group of lymph node should be involved and the PET would have showed that
Doctor :   It seems you have moved out of the chat window. Please log in back if you have medical queries
