If I have osteoperosis is it safe to donate a kidney?

User : I am a 53 year old female.
Doctor : kidneys play a very crucial role in the vitamin D metabolism in your body and if you have osteoporosis then its not recommended , but still the correct assessment can only be made after a physical examination

User : None that I know of, but cancer runs in my family.
Doctor : well that will not deter in the trasplantation process
Doctor : to asses if you can donate there will be a series of test done
User : The reason I asked this question is because I've read that a kidney donater has a greater risk of developing osterperosis and since I already have it I didn't know if the donation could make it worsen.
