User :   can i directly ask the problem tht i have.. actually i am not sure wht is specialization

User :   i am s/w engg... my guess was this side effect is due to ac.. which i am constantly in... when i go out... even in normal temp... i get itching sensation & reddish etc... within 10-15 min..

User :   thats it actually.. why is this redness & irritation.. & it is also there for me even when there is no sun
User :   just if i go out from home or office to open environment...
User :   & the itching, redness... bit kind of swelling .... is more when i go to remote areas.. or villages etc...

Doctor :   ok then it is quite clear that your having Contact Dermatitis and associated along with it you have allergic response too
Doctor :   So Exposure is causing the skin changes and your body's response is causing the itching swelling and Redness

Doctor :   since avoiding the Allergen is the most important thing for you to do

Doctor :   Cool compresses with saline are helpful for acute conditions
Doctor :   oral antihistamines help diminish pruritus,that is the rash that is caused and the itching too
Doctor :   Topical corticosteroids are the mainstay of treatment but will need to be taken under controlled environment
