User :   Hello for the past 2 weeks i have been getting itchy on the roof of my mouth i dont have any allergies to food that i know about what can this be..
Doctor :   hi
Doctor :
User :   hello
Doctor :
is the itching only at the roof of the mouth?
User :   yes
Doctor :   is there any bad smell in the breath?
Doctor :   are you having any dental problems with teeth?
User :   no not really
User :   no
Doctor :
did you have any throat infection prior to this?
User :   i did a lactose test and they found out that i have bacteria but i took antibiotics for it which was about the same time 2 weeks
Doctor :
do you feel your tongue getting coated more these days with the white coat on it?
User :   no i feels and looks normal
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :
then it might possibly be a mild yeast infection or environmental allergy
Doctor :
i suggest that you brush the palate or the roof of the mouth too when you are brushing teeth.
User :   ok i had that in my esphagus 2 months ago
Doctor :   and i recommend that you do a allergen patch testing to find out if it is some allergy that is causing it
Doctor :
if it is that you have got this infection before, then there are chances that you have got is again
Doctor :
and now it is at the roof of mouth
Doctor :
so get a examination done by a dentist
Doctor :
and get the yeast infection treated
User :   everytime i go to my gi doc he always looks in my mouth and says everything looks ok
Doctor :
if it is a mild infection, it will go by just brushing twice daily when you brush your teeth brush the roof also
User :   ok
Doctor :
if it is not going then you have to get a culture done from the roof of the mouth or the palate, and get the appropriate antifungal to treat it.
Doctor :   and also get a allergen test done
Doctor :
Is there any thing else I can help you with?
User :   should i be worried for this in my mouth
Doctor :   you do not need to worry as long as this goes away with the brushing
Doctor :
if it does not then get the suggested tests done
Doctor :
Please fill the feedback form and comment box, and say done when done.
