User :   Dr. i have a problem and want some suggestion

User :   My Daughter who is 13 months old have developed a skin infection
User :   Not sure what they call it in medical language

User :   but have you seen the ring guard add.. its similar in nature
Doctor :   may i know the site of infection ?
Doctor :   and what are the symptoms she has ?
User :   She has got 1 in her right leg (calf region) & one in her tummy
Doctor :   ok
User :   You understood what i am saying right.
Doctor :   any itching, redness ?
Doctor :   yes i did ?
User :   i have seen her itching her some times, and yes it is red and coin shaped

User :   I have used Zole F for 2-3 days but no improvement
Doctor :   this is called tinea alba
User :   today i got Ring Guard and applied but again no improvement
Doctor :   and this is a dermatophyte infection , (fungi)
Doctor :   you need to understand that it takes at least 1 week for the condition to subside
User :   But its growing bigger and bigger
Doctor :   it does not subside very soon
Doctor :   and has chances that it can recurr
User :   not sure how she got it but she always uses fresh clothes, no one has it in our house
User :   so anything u can suggest..
Doctor :   The rash appears to get worse when the skin is dry.
User :   yes
Doctor :   tinea alba is most noticeable in the summertime when the surrounding skin gets because it remains the same color.
Doctor :   Using a moisturizer or hydrocortisone may make the patches go away faster
User :   hydroortisone, is that a ointment

Doctor :   However, even with treatment, the rash may sometimes take months to resolve.
User :   and anything we can do it prevent it from occiring

Doctor :   it will subside on itself
Doctor :   once the infection goes off
User :   She is currently on Milk (lactogen) and Khijdi and Cerelac
User :   and sometimes egg yolk
Doctor :   ok
User :   boiled egg
Doctor :   that is fine
User :   Ok, so do u suggest any precatutions
Doctor :   apply the ointment hydrocortisone
Doctor :   and the condition will improve
User :   Ok,
Doctor :   daily regular hygiene will help
