User:hello doctor
my wife is 4 months pregnant. she had rubela infection before. in early pregnancy she had some bleeding due to slight placental abruptio. till now we did 3 ultrasound tests, in all the tests baby's growth is excellent, and there is no more bleeding. in short everything was excellent in 3rd ultrasound test which we did aft completing 3 months. now her gynac is asking us to do color dopler ultrasound to check baby's wellbeing as she had rubella infection which affects baby's vital organs. she is taking torchnil an aurvedic tablets from last 8 month. so my question is ...is it really necessary to do this test
Doctor:Hi,
Let me read your query for few minutes to be able to have a good discussion here.
User:ok sure
Doctor:Rubella infection is one serious infection. It does affect the heart of the baby leading to congenital abnormalities. Your gynecologist wants to make sure every thing is set right before she delivers the child.
Doctor:It's good to know that ultrasound scan upto 18-20 weeks is normal.
Doctor:I presume she has already got her anamoly scan done.
User:In second utrasound
Doctor:Regular ultrasound is able to figure out if there are any heart defects, but doppler ultrasound scan is more specific and it gives clear picture of the heart.\
User:Heartbeat of baby was
User:186bpm
User:8.4week
Doctor:Anamoly scan is done at 18-20 weeks.

Doctor:Do you have this scan report with you.

User:yes I do have
User:all 3 reports
Doctor:I guess that is the anamoly scan which I am talking about.
User:ok
User:Anything need to know from reports?
Doctor:If this scan was normal, you can get the doppler ultrasound scan without apprehension.
Doctor:All the details mentioned in the anamoly scan are important.
User:ok
Doctor:In the back ground of rubella infection, I particularly will look at the babies heart development.
Doctor:Have you followed?

User:In last report
User:doctor written
