User :   Hi Doctor I did a cervical spine AP and lateral views x-ray and the result is given as spondylosis noted at the anterior body of C3 to C7 cervical vertebrae. The intervertebral disc spaces and the alignment of cervical spine are within normal limit. What does this mean? I'm worried about Spondylosis noted of C3 to C7, what must i do in this case? please advice.
Doctor :   Hi

Doctor :   Ok.
User :   also did thoractic spine and lumbosacral spine both AP and lateral views and all are normal no abnormalities
Doctor :   Spondylosis is a term referring to degenerative osteoarthritis of the joints between the centra of the spinal vertebrae and/or neural foraminae.
Doctor :   Because of this there might be a mild to severe pressure or nerve impingement.
User :   I see but so far no big neck ache or anything
User :   but im having a lower back pain
Doctor :   Causes
Repetitive strain injury - Caused due to lifestyle without ergonomic care, Eg. While working in front of computers, Driving, Travelling etc.
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   i think lower back pain is not related to this correct?
Doctor :   Yes, right.
User :   i think ergonomic care is the issue like u said
User :   so is this spondylosis noted of c3 to c7
User :   is a serious concern for me?
Doctor :   Most of the X-ray findings can be vague sometimes as you may not have a coinciding somatic pain.
Doctor :   I would like to suggest you that it is not an alrming situation
Doctor :   but , you need to take some ample care to prevent any further strain to spine.
User :   what must i do to correct the posture and to correct this spondylosis?
Doctor :   What do you think the precipitating factors ? Do you sit for long times or a desk job ?
User :   yes
User :   work for about 9 hours
Doctor :   OK.
Doctor :   Pls. follow the following steps : User :   and then even when i come home i sit infront of the computer for long hours for about at least 4 to5
Doctor :   1. Need to practise some Yoga & stretch exercises - like A. Ardhakati chakrasana
Doctor :   B. Ardha chakrasana
Doctor :   2. Neck exercises very gently - stretching back-front sideways at least 4 times a day - 5 times each time .
User :   sorry to interrup you doctor so these are mainly related to neck is it? i mean chakrasana's?
Doctor :   3. See that your chair & desk are ergonomically designed .
User :   understood
Doctor :   Not chakrasana , but ardha chakrasana - that is what i have mentioned .
User :   sorry yes
