Doctor :   Hi
User :   Hi
Doctor :   Pls. give me few secs. to go through your query.

User :   Can it be fixed?
Doctor :   Intertrigo is a yeast infection, but they are unrelenting and recur .
User :   How did I get it?
Doctor :   May I know what medication you have used ?
User :   Idk the names just different types of creams
Doctor :   Any of these can cause either of them : Hot, humid weather ;
Tight or abrasive underclothing ;
Poor hygiene ;
Doctor :   Yeast or any other fungus and they get opprtunistic when these conditions are there.
Doctor :   May I know your height and weight please ?
User :   5 ft and 180 i think
Doctor :   Ok, Do you feel you are a bit over weight?
User :   Lol yes. Been working on it...recently been losing weight
Doctor :   Prevention of Intertrigo
Most preventative measures involve reducing skin to skin contact and keeping the area dry.
1.Weight loss to reduce the size of fat folds, size of the breasts
2.Wear loose, soft underclothing
3.Apply antifungal absorbent powder to affected areas daily
4.Wash affected areas with soap and water daily
Doctor :   5.Treatment of Intertrigo
Intertrigo is treated with antifungal creams such as clotrimazole and miconazole. Equally important in the treatment of intertrigo is keeping the skin folds as dry as possible. A drying solution such as Burow's compresses can be applied to the skin folds for 20 to 30 minutes several times a day to promote drying.
User :   Well i wash it multiple times a day. I shower alot and had been keeping baby powder on it...
Doctor :   Ok.
Doctor :   Could you get a small derm test done , that would be useful
Doctor :   The majority of cases of intertrigo can be diagnosed based on the characteristic appearance. If there is any question about the diagnosis, a KOH test can be performed to detect the presence of yeast. A bacterial culture can help diagnose a secondary bacterial infection.
User :   I suppose I could. Think I need to?
User :   Oh...ok
Doctor :   I would have been mor e helpful if I could have examined the infection, please get a physical done
User :   But it nothing serious then?
Doctor :   It would be easier and better and faster.
Doctor :   No not all.
Doctor :   thank you
Doctor :   bye for now.
