User :   I wanted to know if you could help me with the interpretation from a holter monitor I wore this week. I just picked up the report and it looks scary reading it to me. Can you help me if I tell you what it says?
Doctor :   Hi
User :   hi
Doctor :   provide me the holter report
User :   ok
User :   total QRS 0000
User :   ventricular ectopics 11
User :   supraventricular ectopics 95
User :   pauses 1
User :   longest 2.1 secs
Doctor :   ok
User :   isolateds 11
User :   ventricular events isolateds 11
User :   supraventricular events osolateds 43 couplets 24 runs 1
User :   4 beats, 160 bpm
User :   ok
User :   thats it
Doctor :   let me read it
User :   ok
Doctor :   the holter has recorded the ectopic beats
User :   what are they
Doctor :   it has said it is from both above the ventricle and from the ventricle also
User :   is that bad
Doctor :   you get the skip kind of beat na
User :   what is the 0000
User :   isnt that a lot
Doctor :   it is the total no of qrs complexes
User :   is that one hundred and six thousand
Doctor :   dont go by the numbers
Doctor :   count how many times your heart beats a day
Doctor :   see the number
User :   the last time I wore it about three weeks it was 360 total qrs complexes
Doctor :   not possible
User :   is this a bad readout
User :   what is not possible
Doctor :   because one qrs is one heart beat
Doctor :   how can there be only 360 heart beat for three weeks /
User :   no
User :   360 in 24 hrs
User :   I wore it three weeks ago
User :   for 24 hrs
User :   and again this week because it was skipping so much more
Doctor :   one QRS is one heart beat
User :   ok
User :   is this a dangerous readout
Doctor :   heart beats for atleast 60 times a minute
User :   with supraventricular ectopics
User :   ok
Doctor :   no it is not a dangerous
User :   and under supraventricular events it says 4 beats, 160 bpm
User :   what does that mean
User :   the 4 beat thing
Doctor :   but you have some rhythm disturbances
User :   does that mean ventricular tachyardia
Doctor :   it is both vt and svt
User :   how is it both
User :   and what is the ventricular tachyardia
User :   isnt that dangerous
Doctor :   ventricular tachycardia and supra ventricular tachycardia is been recorded
User :   but where does it say ventricular tachyardia
User :   on the readout where does it say ventricular tachyardia
Doctor :   you are a lay man
User :   what
User :   lay man?
User :   I dont understand whay you mean
Doctor :   you cannot understand the medical termonologies
User :   I am a 50 yr old female
Doctor :   report is interprited by tehdoctor
Doctor :   let me tel where it is
User :   ok
User :   I have a history of svt
User :   mvp
User :   and an anuyersym in the atrial septal
Doctor :   what is svt ?
User :   I have a yearly echo
User :   and am on tenormin for the svt
User :   supraventricular tachyardia
User :   arent you a dr?
User :   how can you not know what svt is?
Doctor :   cool
User :   are you a dr?
Doctor :   i am teaching you how to read the report
User :   I know, but you asked me what svt was
User :   didnt you know?
Doctor :   you did ask me where is the supraventricular mentioned in the report
Doctor :   didnt you /
User :   no the ventricular tachyardia
User :   but you asked me what svt was
User :   I thought you would know what svt is
Doctor :   supraventricular ectopics 95
User :   ok
Doctor :   you typed this right
Doctor :   i an dr
User :   yes
User :   ok
User :   where does it say I am having ventricular tachyardia
Doctor :   you are talking to a professional
User :   because I know that is very dangerous
User :   I have never been told I have ventricular tachyardia
Doctor :   report will say what is records
User :   ok
User :   where does it say ventricular tachyardia
Doctor :   it will not say you have mvp, you have aneyrysm
Doctor :   it is th interpretation of the doctor
User :   i know that
User :   I was just giving you some of my history as to what I have
Doctor :   ok
User :   the echo showed that up many years ago
Doctor :   i know that
User :   I want to know about the ventricular tachyardia shows up on the readout that I gave you
User :   and isnt that dangerous
Doctor :   the readouts have recorded the events what all has happened during the time you wore it
User :   I know
User :   but please tell me where it says I have episodes of ventricular tachyardia
Doctor :   it has said there was tachycardia (160 beats)
Doctor :   it has also shown there where some ectopics coming from supra ventricular
User :   which one is ventricular tachyardia
User :   sorry I am asking so many questions
Doctor :   and also some ectopics which are originated from ventricular
User :   just trying to understandd
User :   does that mean I am really having ventricular tachyardia
User :   and isnt that dangerous
Doctor :   do not panic
User :   ok
User :   I feel like my life is ending
Doctor :   if it is that dangerous even after having 11 events what has happened
User :   you mean it is dangerous
User :   oh no
Doctor :   you had 11 episodes of ventricular ectopics na as per report
User :   isnt that very dangerous]
User :   does that mean skipped beats
User :   like pvc's
Doctor :   what dangerous has happened to you because of that
User :   I have read that if you have ventricular tachyardia that it is life threatening
User :   and that you need ablaision for it
Doctor :   forget what you have read on the net
User :   ok
User :   is this a dangerous readout or not
Doctor :   because of this reading on the net and inapropriate interpretation you are getting more anxious
User :   I know
User :   I am scared
Doctor :   scared of what ?
User :   of what my heart is doing
Doctor :   need not be scared
Doctor :   you are reading many things on net and scaring the heart
User :   is this readout ok
Doctor :   relax take a deep breath and see how normal the heart beats
Doctor :   there is mild rhythm disorder
Doctor :   you are getting ectopics
Doctor :   and people can get ectopics if they are anxious also
Doctor :   reduce your anxiety levels
Doctor :   it will reduce the work load on the heart and in turn heart rhythm also will become normal
