Doctor :   dr here
User :   hello dr.
Doctor :   How can i help you ?
User :   I am trying to conceive since the last 9 months
User :   I already have a 4 year old son.
Doctor :   ok,
User :   We have not been very regular with intercourse so i wasnt very worried at not having conceived yet.
User :   But i visited a gynae and she did some folicular scans and gave me an hcg injection to ensure that we could time it accurately
User :   She has now put me on a tablet called duphaston
User :   someone told me it is banned in and so i got a little sceptical
User :   please let me know if it is safe to take?
Doctor :   its safe
User :   also why is it important? I already had a baby once and i dont have a history of miscarriage
Doctor :   its used to prepare the endometrium favorable for pregnancy
User :   does this mean that if i conceive ill have to take for the next 3-4 months as well?
Doctor :   i would consider better if you go by natural method only as you have no defects
User :   ys doctor i agree with you. its just that i am 3o now.. so i visited the gynae
User :   as i hadnt conceived
User :   but i do feel more comfortable with your suggestion
Doctor :   need not if the follicular scan is god and you have good number of follicles then there is no reason for any intervention
Doctor :   let this cycle go as the gyne suggests but the next cycle try to have intercourse in fertile period
User :   i have already taken 2 tablets is it ok if i discontinue now?
Doctor :   do not discontinue
Doctor :   complete his cycle
Doctor :   with her advice
User :   ok.
User :   is it also ok to continue with my regular routine. Like i do a lot of intense exercises
Doctor :   yes, no problem
User :   i also have a problem of sinus
Doctor :   Not related
User :   can i take decongestants like wikoryl
Doctor :   yes, you can
User :   or homeopathy
Doctor :   yes
User :   ok thank you.
Doctor :   Homeopathy would be better
User :   doc why is it that even if we have intercourse in fertile period we dont get pregnant?
User :   when i have already had a baby once?
Doctor :   its just the chance
Doctor :   may i know whether you have got your husbands sperm analysis ?
User :   yes we did. he had a low sperm count but it was corrected
User :   he is no longer on medication. should we get this done again.
User :   this was about 6 months back
Doctor :   get it repeated during the attempts
Doctor :   i mean a gap of three days then test and then three days gap and then intercourse , plan the timing so that the intercourse happens in fertile period
User :   ok. i have to take duphaston for 20 days and get tested for pregnancy. if it is negative we will get it tested
Doctor :   ok, fine
User :   i didnt understand
User :   gap of 3 days
User :   then test
User :   then again gap of 3 days before intercourse
User :   why this gap?
Doctor :   Abstinence ( No intercourse )
Doctor :   to build up optimum sperm count
Doctor :   daily / consecutive ejaculations may lessen the number
User :   ok. thank you for explaining.
Doctor :   you are welcome
Doctor :   thanks for consulting me
Doctor :   kindly provide your feedback
User :   will do.
User :   thanks and bye
Doctor :   bye
