Doctor :   When a person is infected with HIV, their body responds by producing special proteins that fight infection, called antibodies. An HIV antibody test looks for these antibodies in blood, saliva or urine.
Doctor :   If antibodies to HIV are detected, it means a person has been infected with HIV.
User :   please... reply me to answer whether I can get the result with in 24 hrs
Doctor :   Most people develop detectable HIV antibodies within 6 to 12 weeks of infection.
Doctor :   In very rare cases, it can take up to 6 months and there are nearly always very particular reasons for antibodies developing so late such as other auto-immune disorders.
Doctor :   yes you can get the result with in 24 hrs
User :   will doctors keep this confidential in INDIA
User :   if so please give me any testing centre in XXXXXX if you know
Doctor :   the rapid test can produce results WITHIN 20 MINUTES
Doctor :   Wait a minute
User :   ok
Doctor :   WWW.WWWW.WW
Doctor :   A standard antibody test (see above) looks for HIV antibodies in a personĂ¢??s blood. These antibodies can take up to three months from the time of infection to appear, and so for an accurate HIV test, a person should wait three months since the time of suspected infection.
User :   i hope so this information is useful once i get tested .. if negative i will contact you soon sir
Doctor :   Some test centres may recommend testing again at six months, as in very rare cases it can take this long to develop antibodies. However, in most cases it is not necessary.
Doctor :   Ok thanks..........
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting...............
Doctor :   Bye for now................
User :   than you lo t sir
