Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   How can I help you?
User :   You know my baby ate the rose leaf on Sunday afternoon, and you reassured me he is absolutely fine as long as no sympotoms occur
User :   But on Tuesday, he had three stools, which is more than he usually has
User :   And the stools are a bit loose
Doctor :   Ok
User :   And one of them is green
User :   Could it be cause by the chemicals on the leaf?
User :   His stool is back to normal on Wednesday
User :   And he was fine on Monday, only Tuesday he had these
Doctor :   Green coloured stool
Doctor :   is normal.
Doctor :   It is due to presence of bile secretions.
Doctor :   They are seen when the food particles are not digested properly.
Doctor :   Probably this might have occurred due to the presence of the leaf itself.
Doctor :   You need not concern about it.
User :   So you mean it's because of the leaf not because of the chemicals on the leaf?
User :   I am a bit concerned because he had three stools that day (more than usual), and they are all a bit loose
User :   Not sure is it sounds like a coincidence, or caused by the chemicals
Doctor :   It is unlikely that the symptoms have developed due to the pesticides.
Doctor :   Presence of organic undigestable material such as a leaf can by itself explain the symptoms.
User :   He didn't eat the whole leaf, he sucked on it. Even ate a bit, it's only a tiny bit
Doctor :   Ok
User :   I am worrying could the pressence of several loose stools indicate the dose of pesticides he got is not as so neglectable
Doctor :   No,
User :   You know on Monday, I am reassured he is fine as long as there's no sympotoms
User :   but on Tuesday, he had several a bit loose stools
User :   that made me a bit worried again
Doctor :   presence of loose stools does not mean that your son has not consumed any pesticides.
Doctor :   It is either due to presence of indigestable organic part of the leaf or due to the microorganism that could have entered.
User :   Doctor: presence of loose stools does not mean that your son has not consumed any pesticides.
User :   Sorry, you mean 'does not mean that your son has consumed any pesticides'?
Doctor :   Yes.
Doctor :   I do not consider that you son has consumed
Doctor :   any pesticides significantly.
User :   So, you think the loose stools have nothing to do with the pesicides on the leaf?
Doctor :   Yes.
Doctor :   It is either due to the leaf or the microorganisms on the leaf
Doctor :   that could have caused the loose stools.
User :   It's not something to be concerned?
Doctor :   What ever he had consumed is cleared off.
Doctor :   Loose stools is body's mechanisms to remove all the infective or indigestable particle
Doctor :   from the intestine.
Doctor :   Now that it has stopped, it implies the unwanted particles have stopped.
Doctor :   I would have been concerned, if
Doctor :   you had said that your son is still having loose stools.
Doctor :   But since it has settled now and is active, you do not have to worry.
User :   no, he is back to normal on Wednesday
Doctor :   Right.
User :   Ok, so even if there's some pesticides on the leaf, they have been all cleared from his body?
User :   And, won't have any long-term effects?
Doctor :   Yes.
User :   Ok, thank you.
Doctor :   I do not find any factor that could be causing long term effects.
Doctor :   No need to worry.
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
User :   Thank you
User :   Well, in fact I have :P
Doctor :   My pleasure.
User :   My baby bumped his head again this morning
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me.
User :   not a very heavy one
Doctor :   You need not worry with those bumps.
User :   and he had no sympotoms until about 40 minutes later, after his breakfast, he vomited a little bit
Doctor :   Since you report that he is bumping often
Doctor :   it will be a good idea
Doctor :   to keep his surroundings free from any sharp objects.
Doctor :   Sharp objects can induce more significant damage than blunt objects.
User :   yes, I made sure there 's no sharp objects. But he often throws his head this way and that way, and often bump it on my body
User :   Is the vomitting something to be concerned?: User :   he has no other sympotoms, not drowsy, eating well
User :   and only vomitted a little bit, not a lot
User :   but it happen only about 40 minutes after he bumped his head
Doctor :   You mean after the leaf incident?
User :   no
User :   this morning, he bumped his head, then 40 minutes later after eating breakfast, he vomitted a little bit
User :   but no other sympotoms
Doctor :   Kids generally tend to vomit out a few after food.
Doctor :   This is not a concerning problem.
Doctor :   However projectile vomiting, a recurrent vomiting is a concern.
User :   no, only once, and only vomited less than a mouth full
Doctor :   Projectile vomit in the sense if the vomitus is thrown a few distance away from the body.
Doctor :   This was only for your information.
User :   how far is the a few distance?
Doctor :   If there is recurrent vomiting which falls away from the body ( 2-3 feet away) indicates a pathological problem
Doctor :   It either could occur due to gut problem.
Doctor :   If this is associated with drowsiness, irritability, convulsions it is a sign of raised intracranial pressure that happens due to headinjury.
Doctor :   The following facts were for your information.
Doctor :   So if such symptoms occur get to your doctor who after physical examination will confirm or rule out headinjury/concussion.
User :   He only vomitted a little bit, but it landed kinda of a bit distance from him (less than a feet). He had no other sympotoms
Doctor :   Having said that, and as i said to you yesterday, the possibility of such serious injuries happening with your son is highly unlikely.
Doctor :   No reason to panic
Doctor :   There are too many other factors that are against the chances of headinjuries occuring in a less than year child
Doctor :   So you need not worry with the bumps happening.
Doctor :   Do you follow?
User :   Yes, thank you very much.
User :   In fact I do have a question about myself
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
Doctor :   Proceed.
User :   I am worrying too much about my baby
User :   Do you think there's something wrong with myself?
User :   I mean, do you think I could have postnatal depression?
User :   or something else?
User :   It's not my first baby
Doctor :   You look to me more like a concerned mother than a pathological mother or depressive mother.
User :   I was never like this with my first boy
Doctor :   Depression is to be considered if these worries are affecting you in your daily activities
User :   I should say I cannot enjoy my baby most of the time
User :   I am worrying about his every head bumps
User :   his every contact with chemicals
User :   even my husband used some toilet cleaner, I was worrying about the fumes
Doctor :   Do you have sleepless night?
User :   no, I can sleep
User :   but, when I was awake, I am totally unhappy
Doctor :   Have you lost your appetite?
User :   a little bit
Doctor :   Do you feel excessive tiredness, fatiguability, lack of energy. weakness during the day?
User :   tiredness, lack of energy, weakness, Yes
Doctor :   Do you feel that your mood keeps fluctuating often
User :   Yes
User :   A minor thing would make me panic for a few days
User :   as you can see from the leaf incident
Doctor :   Do you feel that your social relations has reduced?
User :   No, not really
User :   Well, I don't have much social relations here as well
User :   We moved here not long ago
Doctor :   Do you have history of depression in the past or in the family?
User :   No
User :   I do feel it's not like me
Doctor :   Ok
User :   but I am not sure whether it is because I googled too many things
User :   and knows more makes me worries more
Doctor :   Let me explain to you.
User :   or because something is really wrong with me
User :   ok
Doctor :   Your symptoms are not significant to consider the diagnosis of postnatal depression.
Doctor :   From what I see your symptoms are more anxiety following an incident - a parental concern.
Doctor :   A good healthy diet, proper sleep, deep breathing exercises, yoga, meditation should be helpful in treating most of your symptoms.
Doctor :   However, if you feel that your daily activities and sleep are affected,
Doctor :   I would suggest you to consult a clinical psychologist.
User :   Well, I feel my worries affect my work
User :   You do mentioned medication would be helpful
Doctor :   Few counseling sessions will put your mind to ease and help you to handle these symptoms better and thus preventing postnatal depression from setting up.
User :   Is it necessary? That's what I am hesitate to have
Doctor :   I would suggest you to try the lifestyle modification such as the deep breathing exercise, physical exercises, yoga and meditation
Doctor :   They are known to have a significant effects in treating the symptoms.
User :   OK, I will try.
Doctor :   But if your symptoms persists, then 2-3 sessions of counseling perhaps can be useful then.
Doctor :   Have you followed what I have suggested?
User :   Yes, well, I have been like this for several months
User :   one worry after another
User :   I will try the life syle modification first.
User :   I am hesitating to tell my GP about this
User :   I am afraid he would put medication on me, that's what I don't like
Doctor :   We shall try to help you as much as we can on this portal.
User :   You and other doctors do help me a lot
Doctor :   The need for medications can be prevented with the exercises.
User :   to relieve my worries
User :   Yes, I will try these excercises first
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
User :   So, you think at the moment it's still not a serous depression?
Doctor :   I do not find the symptoms serious to be termed as depression.
User :   ok, thank you :)
User :   no more questions at the moment. I will try the excercises you adviced me
User :   and see whether they would help
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me.
Doctor :   Bye for now.
User :   bye
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
User :   well
User :   I may still need you help in the future
User :   How can I make sure every time I can meet you here?
User :   because I don't want to explain my sympotoms again and again to different doctors
Doctor :   You can log back and chat with us.
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me.
Doctor :   Bye for now.
User :   Bye.
