User :   My husband has discoloured right leg (red). Foot icy cold, loss of power, pain if weight bears, swells sometimes. Right hip replacement 13 years ago. No joy from hospital or doctor - please help. He is nearly 78 years old

Doctor :   Is he having pain and fever?
User :   No
User :   No fever, pain from arthritis
Doctor :   was he having any vessel disease?
User :   No
Doctor :   I feel he might have decreased flow of blood to that area?

User :   Not smoker. Hospital says arteries are ok

User :   No MRI or diagnosis. Blood flow scan and x-ray of right leg
Doctor :   Cauda equina syndrome is a serious condition caused by compression of the nerves in the lower portion of the spinal canal
Doctor :   Cauda equina syndrome results from a herniated lumbar disk
Doctor :   Cauda equina syndrome can be caused by isolated tumors (primary neoplasms) or from tumors that have spread to the spine from other parts of the body (metastatic spinal neoplasms).
