User :   The cold went away in a week or so. but the cough is still there

User :   I had a cold and cough a couple of weeks back..
Doctor :   May i know your age please?

Doctor :   Are you having fever also?
User :   no fever
Doctor :   Is the cough dry or is productive?
Doctor :   Any sputum in cough?
User :   dry mostly... sputum once or twice in a day
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   Were you on any medications for cold and ough?
Doctor :   *cough?
User :   was using tantun to gargle ..but that has not helped, no other medications.
Doctor :   Take steam inhalations after dissolving Karvol plus in it 3 to 4 times a day

Doctor :   Avoid cold food items, nuts and coconut
Doctor :   Add a pinch of grounded white pepper in 1 tsp of honey 3 to 4 times a day

Doctor :   If it does not help in a week or so you need to get your throat examined to rule out any infection
