User :   Yes please my eleven year old daughter has a red spot on the top of her foot- this started some three months ago from a tiny spot and is now two millimetres in diameter - when she catches it it bleeds profusely but is red in colour and not brown. It is a little itchy in sensitivity.
Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   I am Dr.
Doctor :   Let me read you query
Doctor :   Is it raised above the surrounding skin?
User :   No
User :   Sorry doctor yes it is raised above the surrounding skin as a raised spot
Doctor :   So when she scratches it, then it bleeds
Doctor :   is it?
User :   Yes that's correct
Doctor :   Ok, it appears to be hemangioma, an abnormal dilatation of the blood vessels in the area
Doctor :   Kindly recheck if she has such other things any other part of the body
User :   Possibly a small one is developing next to it but it is a pin head size so far - is this potentially serious and what should we do about it
Doctor :   It mostly likely has no cause
Doctor :   and it is not serious though
Doctor :   What I would suggest is to get a complete check up with a Pediatrician for other similar lesions and ofcourse general check up
Doctor :   The treatment is not necessary unless it is causing more blood loss
User :   Ok many thanks - presumably this is benign?
Doctor :   it is benign if it is hemangioma
User :   Ok many thanks Doctor. - we will take your advice and appreciate your help!
Doctor :   Pleasure here
Doctor :   Thank you
