Doctor :   hi
Doctor :   how can i help you?
User :   I want to get your opinion because sometimes i've been known to get paranoid about symptoms and maybe even wonder if I'm experiencing a symptom or not....but I know there are a couple things wrong...and I don't want to start dreaming up symptoms to go along with what I know I'm experiencing. And I think probably a lot of what I'll tell you are things that are unrelated to the other things. But i want to give you a complete picture of my state.
Doctor :   ok
User :   I've typed this already so I'll copy and paste it
Doctor :   For Administrative and health purposes, Please provide these details -Age: Gender: Occupation: Location: Marital Status: Dependents: Yes/ No.
Doctor :   thats ok
User :   age 44, male, copywriter, Winston-Salem, NC, single, no dependents
Doctor :   ok
User :   I hope that made it through
Doctor :   yes
User :   oops hold on
Doctor :   please go ahead
User :   Here's what I'm sure of: Blood pressure this morning is about 145 over 108. A couple of weeks ago it was 130 over 92. My waking heartrate every day for the past 2 weeks, including today, is around 70. I'm 6 foot and weigh 275 lbs. I'm a 44 year old male. For 7 or 8 years I've had a hernia in my navel. Lately (the past few months) I've occasionally--very occasionally--felt pain radiate from that. I also recently had a bout with my hands hurting during typing (I type for a living), but it resolved after a few days. Felt like how some people describe carpal tunnel, but also affected my pinkies.
User :   In the past 2 weeks I've started experiencing a LOT of acid know, the bitter stuff that comes up in my throat. All day long, but especially after eating. I also regularly have the sensation of not being able to swallow a pill or something is stuck in my throat. I've been experiencing random pains in my abdomen, on my sides, and yes, in my chest. But it's different spots. Sometimes right chest, more often left. And only for a few seconds at a time. I do regularly have this feeling of uncomfortableness in my left chest....and swallowing seems to make me feel it more. At night time (almost never during the day) I get winded easily...and last night I had this feeling that if I breathed deeply it caused pain in my back.
User :   I regularly have a bit of phlegm in my throat...not enough to cough up, but enough to have me constantly clearing my throat. My throat has been feeling raw the last few days, I guess because of clearing it so much.
Today my hands and arms are bothering me again after a lot of typing....probably not related to the rest of this, because it does seem to be typing-related.
User :   I have never experienced the classic warning sign of heart attack....that is, never felt like an elephant sitting on my chest, and none of the pain I've felt has lasted long....just seconds usually. I also am getting headaches fairly regularly.
Oh incidentally....and this might be one of those things I'm imagining....but sometimes it seems like I can affect my headaches by pressing this one spot just below the back of my neck, right above my back. And coincidentally, during the times when I've felt winded, pressing that spot seems to make it easier to breathe deeper. Again, I'm not 100% sure i'm not imagining that. That's it
Doctor :   please give me a minute to read through this
User :   ok

Doctor :   and visit a GP

Doctor :   and other caffeinated drinks
User : you have a gut feeling about what's wrong?
Doctor :   my gut feeling is that its just anxiety
Doctor :   but i would like to rule out everything
Doctor :   for your own safety
User :   Ok, I understand
User :   I'll make an appointment
Doctor :   and as for the phlegm it could be due to pollution and cold
Doctor :   try and avoid traffic, pollution and cold air
User :   that's not a heart symptom, is it?
User :   lol
Doctor :   the haedache and neck pain could be due to stress
Doctor :   i suggest that you work out everyday
Doctor :   on the treadmill or simply go jogging
User :   I'd started that last week....and then when I started panicking about everything I started worrying that it might be harmful to work out.
Doctor :   1/2 hr everyday for 5 weeks
Doctor :   no
Doctor :   work out actually relieves many of these problems and relieves stress
Doctor :   are you having any difficulty sleeping?
User :   you know the amazing thing is that I feel physically better now just after talking to you...which I guess might be evidence of the anxiety thing...but yeah I'll have it checked out
