User :   what may be the cause of a severe heart attack?
Doctor :   There are many reasons, Most commonly because of blocked blood vesels in the heart due to high cholesterol
User :   What defines the intensity of the heart attack?
Doctor :   Sometimes, sudden heart attacks happen due to reduced blood supply to the heart muscles
Doctor :   It depends on various factors
Doctor :   Like
Doctor :   Onset of chest pain
Doctor :   Number of arteries that are blocked
Doctor :   History of previous attacks
Doctor :   Co-existing medical conditions like Diabetes
User :   is there anything else besides cholesterol that may block the arteries?

User :   or can stress induce a heart attack?
Doctor :   Stress along with High Blood pressure has a bearing, but stress alone is very minimal
Doctor :   Very severe acute stress can trigger off an heart attack

Doctor :   Ok
User :   how severe can a stress-triggered heart attack be?
Doctor :   We actually cannot predict,
Doctor :   My brother died at 23 years due to a sudden heart attack
User :   Oh! am so sorry...
User :   I read some where that if stress itself is a risk factor for heart disease, it could be because chronic stress exposes your body to unhealthy, persistently elevated levels of stress hormones like adrenaline and cortisol. I want to understand how much role does stress play in triggering a heart attack?
Doctor :   I mean to say it can take away the life of a person
Doctor :   As I said Stress alone carries minimal risk of causing an heart attack
Doctor :   especially the % is less than 5% in young individuals
User :   ok...but you dont see a role of adrenaline and cortisol so much?
Doctor :   Not really
Doctor :   They are normally released in stress
Doctor :   and do not affect heart much
User :   ok.
Doctor :   May I know your age ?
User :   27years
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   Is there anything else I may help you with?
User :   just an indicative idea of how much stress can contribute to a heart attack across age levels?
Doctor :   very minimal or negligible till 25yrs, increases gradually as age progressses, it is more after 45 years, definitely more risk in men, more risk is associated with other co-existing medical conditions
Doctor :   There are many trials happening regarding this
Doctor :   The results are not out yet
User :   ok. thanks much for your assistance!;
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me
User :   that'll be all from my end. thanks
Doctor :   Bye for now
