Doctor:Do you have history of diabetes, high blood pressure or thyroid problems?
User:sorry..was held up
User:nothing of above
Doctor:Thanks for providing the necessary information.
Doctor:Based on the details provided, I think of 3 possibilities.
Doctor:The first and the closest possibility is "seborrheic dermatitis".
Doctor:This is an inflammatory condition related to a mild less harming fungus
Doctor:which is more commonly involved in the development of dandruff.
Doctor:The condition is predominantly located in areas where there is lot of sebaceous glands such as nape of neck, behind ears, under the eyebrows, eyelid, face, armpit, pubic region and so on.
User:ok...what is advised for it ?
Doctor:2. The second possibility of course is an allergic/irritant dermatitis.
Doctor:3. The third is off course any other fungal infection.
Doctor:Candid B contains both antifungal drug as well as steroid.
Doctor:Hence it is able to take care of both fungal as well as inflammatory condition.
User:should i continue it ?
Doctor:Yes, you may continue that. But as a doctor my first preference would be to identify the cause so that we can take necessary steps to prevent it. what do i do ?
Doctor:Hence you will need a physical examination from a dermatologist. He/she can order microscopic tests to confirm the cause.
Doctor:Once we find the cause, we can be able to take necessary steps to prevent the recurrence.
Doctor:I hope you agree with me.
User:fine.. can u suggest me a good dermatologist near my place...
Doctor:May I know your location?
User:iam at Porur , Chennai ..
Doctor:One minute please.
Doctor:Here is a link of doctors listed from Chennai.
Doctor:As I do not have any personal reference, I am suggestion this link.
Doctor:Few doctors have reviews written by patients and users.
Doctor:I think those reviews can help you find a doctor close to your locality.
Doctor:Hope this helps.
Doctor:Do you have any other query?
User:ok thank you so much
User:this should help..
User:thanks again for your time .
Doctor:You are welcome.
