User:Hi Doctor

User:I get pain both in the back and in the side
User:and it is hard for me to sleep straight at night
Doctor:I am a bit confused here between two causes either the back ache due to wrong posture or if it is due to kidney stones
User:or on the right side
Doctor:I get your point
Doctor:Have you done an ultrasound before?
User:I don't think it could be due to posture
Doctor:Yes, you are right
User:No, I have not done ultrasound
User:you mean MRI scan?
Doctor:It seems to me too that it is likely to be a renal stone
Doctor:An ultrasound scan of the whole abdomen
Doctor:Please do not panic
User:so how would they cure it doctor
User:should it undergo any kind of surgery
Doctor:The treatment of renal stones is so easy and completely curable
Doctor:I would suggest you this
User:yes Mam
Doctor:Please get an ultrasound of the whole abdomen done including the kidney and the pelvis
Doctor:You will also need to get an X-ray of the KUB region
User:KUB meaning
Doctor:Kidney, ureters and urinary bladder region
Doctor:You got it?
Doctor:Small stones in the ureters less than 4mm do not need any treatment
User:how would they remove the stones mam
Doctor:With good amount of liquid intake they will be washed away
User:ok.. are there some medicines I can take
Doctor:Surgical procedures for the same are ESWL, and PCNL
User:do you think I will have to undergo another surgery
Doctor:There are tablets like penicillamine that can be used
User:how is renal stone different from kidney stones
Doctor:XXXXXX, please listen to me
User:how did you come to a conclusion that it could be a renal stone
User:and not a kidney stone
User:and how common is it these days?
Doctor:Without knowing the cause, I do not want to comment on any problem on you
Doctor:Renal stone or kidney stone both are same
User:what are the symptoms mam
Doctor:It is just a possibility as the presentation of pain is similar to pain in renal stones
User:to really findout if it is a kidney stone
Doctor:I do not want you to get confused
User:see the pain is not too bad yet
User:so you think the stones are small still
Doctor:To confirm on the renal stone we need to get X-ray and ultrasound scan
Doctor:Only these can help in the diagnosis of renal stones
User:how common is it these days mam
User:in my age group
User:and what could be the cost to operate
Doctor:My suggestion to you is to get these two investigations done and revert back to us
User:Can you send me a report
User:and tell me what I need to check?
User:since I don't think I can save the chat
Doctor:You can get the investigations done,
User:and which hospital would you recommend mam
Doctor:And then scan the reports and mail to us
Doctor:You can mail to YYYY@YYYY with subject as Attention to Dr. Shanthi
User:I got my gall stones removed at XXXXXXX hospital
Doctor:Renal stones is not a confirmed cause in you
User:but how come all of a sudden these things have started mam
User:what else could be the cause mam
Doctor:IT could be because of just a muscle sprain in the back
User:But is renal stones common in my age group
User:I'm worried what my parents , spouse and in-laws are going to feel now
Doctor:Yes, it is common in young males of your age
User:hope everything turns out well
Doctor:always hope for the best

Doctor:Burning while passing urine
User:very rarely

Doctor:difficulty in passing urine
User:yes.. I have that pain.. ( abdominal pain )

Doctor:I do not think it is only renal stone in you
User:then :)
Doctor:However, it is better to get these tests done
User:is there anything else as well, apart from renal stone issue?
User:but would a catch take so long to get alright
User:I have this pain
User:since Aug 10th range
User:renal stones are removed using laproscopy
