User:Hello Doctor
Doctor:How can I help you?
User:Dr. XXXXXXX .I am having a stiff neck since morning
User:am not able to bend my neck towards left side
User:this is not usual with me
User:shall i take rest or can continue in office
Doctor:Are you running fever?
User:by having any pain killer?
User:no fever
Doctor:Rest will definitely be more useful than working with pain.
Doctor:However if you are unable to take leave, I suggest the following:
Doctor:1. Take a pain killer.
Doctor:2. Apply antiinflammatory topical agents like volini or diclogesic spray.
Doctor:You can apply a thin layer of spray on the affected areas.
Doctor:3. If a hot water bag is available, you can apply local heat using hot water in the bag on the affected region.
Doctor:4. Do not try to turn the head when it's paining.
Doctor:Further avoid strenuous position of the neck.
Doctor:5. At home sleep with a straight back preferably using a firm pillow.
Doctor:No pillow is better than very soft or very hard pillow.
Doctor:Lastly as you said this is occurring repeatedly, perhaps you should consider changing your sleeping position, mattress or pillows.
Doctor:Wrong posture of sleep is usually the cause for recurring problem.
Doctor:Have you followed what I suggested?
Doctor:Do you have any queries?
User:I have taken a pain killer
User:will follow the rest of advice as well
User:thanks a lot Dr.
Doctor:Wish you a speedy recovery.
Doctor:Is there any other query?
User:not at this moment
Doctor:Thanks for consulting me.
Doctor:Bye for now.
