Doctor:How are you
User:hello Dr XXXXXXX
User:i am XXXXXXX
User:i am good
Doctor:How can I help?
User:actually i have developed a problem of persistent pimples on my forehead and right cheek for around past 3-4 months
User:i have had pimples before but they seemed natural coming out once in a while
Doctor:have you started using any new cosmetic/cream/facewash
User:and dried away in few days
User:well yes
User:in past few days in order to controll it i frantically tried few products
Doctor:its possible that you have overdried your skin
Doctor:as a result, the skin starts producing too much oil
Doctor:this leads to pimples
User:so what do u suggest now?
Doctor:What we need to do is
Doctor:use a non soap based cleanser
Doctor:like cetaphil
User:can you recommend something
Doctor:then follow up with a non oily moisturizer
User:ok what about home remedies
Doctor:anything which has non-comedogenic on it
Doctor:will do
Doctor:for the home remedies
Doctor:besan+lemon juice+haldi
Doctor:pack twice a week
Doctor:to wash your face
Doctor:just use atta +water
Doctor:its enough
User:i have been using besan haldi dahi for ling time
Doctor:If you find your skin feeling stretched
Doctor:the lemon acts as an astringent
Doctor:and prevents too much oil getting produced
Doctor:after that
Doctor:please use a oil free moisturizer
Doctor:If with the atta , you skin feels stretched
Doctor:add a little milk instead of water
Doctor:Just let the pimples be
Doctor:dont touch again and again
User:i feel me skin gets a lil dried up just after washing my face but after some time it adjusts itself
Doctor:it just aggravates the problem
User:ohh ok
Doctor:it will
Doctor:but take 1-2 drops of a moisturizer and put it on
Doctor:it helps
Doctor:and it prevents the reactive oil production
User:so any specific moisturizer u reccomend?
Doctor:Anything which has non-comedogenic written on it
Doctor:I know Neutrogena makes one
Doctor:Calls it oil-free moisture
Doctor:but I am not specific for the brand
Doctor:You can use any you like
User:i have been using olay natural white, it says a non-greasy formula
Doctor:I want Non comedogenic
Doctor:It means it wouldnt block the pores
Doctor:which is important
User:ohh ok
Doctor:and if you're using a sunscreen
Doctor:use a gel based version
Doctor:whitening creams should not be used as such
User:i have been using a XXXXXXX based
User:that clogs pores is it?
Doctor:It should not
Doctor:But the SPF should be around 40-50 atleast
Doctor:That actually prevents tanning
User:so is it ok to use it?
User:yeah thats a 40 spf
Doctor:Should be
User:i feel i have a mixed skin type
User:near cheek bones i can feel my skin is rough and dry
Doctor:Its very common XXXXXXX
Doctor:Most people will have combination skin
Doctor:where the forehead and nose and chin are oily
Doctor:and the rest is normal/dry
User:otherwise its its usually oily
User:okay so how do i make sure the pimples dont leave back marks
User:because i have few of them already
User:on my cheeks
Doctor:You can apply adapalene 0.1% ointment in the night
User:which is not lightening itself whatever id od
Doctor:Just on the pimples
Doctor:That will take care in a few days
Doctor:dont use in day time
Doctor:it reacts with the sun
Doctor:and can cause a rash
User:will adapalene help?
User:i mean the old spots
Doctor:it will help with the spots as wel
User:ok cool
Doctor:But that will take atleast 4-6 weeks to go
Doctor:and they may not go away completely
Doctor:depends on how bad the scar is
Doctor:and how you respondd
User:is that ok
User:i an using under eye cream from past one month and half
Doctor:for what?
Doctor:If its for dark circles
User:for dark circles
Doctor:you can apply CLEARZ cream around the eyes
Doctor:that helps
Doctor:also, cucumber slices for 20 minutes whenever you can
User:is it a medicated cream or will i get it in cosetic store?
Doctor:and get sufficient sleep and water
Doctor:Its medicated
Doctor:You'll get it at a pharmacy
User:i guess the dark circles are there bcoz of my glasses
User:i have seen most people wid glasses have them
Doctor:they are not because of them
Doctor:sleep is important
Doctor:uninterrupted 7-8 hours everyday
User:hmm yeah i have been facing insomnia sometimes
User:thanku so much
Doctor:Is there anything else I can help with?
User:that pretty much covers everything i wanted to know
Doctor:Thanks for consulting me
Doctor:Have a good day ahead
User:thanks for responding so well doc :)
