User:I have a query on anxiety issues
User:not sure if this is psychological or physiological
User:i feel i have vertigo but the tests did not show any major ear problems
User:the doctor feld i should be able to manage with vertigo exercises. But this has led to a feeling of anxiety in me
Doctor:Anxiety is caused mostly by pyschological factors;
User:This is there for last 15 years though
User:the homeopath i met also said the same thing.
Doctor:Hyperthyroidism is one medical condition which cause anxiety.
User:the anxiety symptoms are feeling faint, feeling of palpitations and more when i am aware of myself
User:my thyroid test were normal. I have vitamin D deficiency though and on medication for last 4 months.
Doctor:If you feel you are getting anxious very soon, in addition also experience tremors, sweating and palpitation, you need to get your thyroid hormones checked.
Doctor:If thyroid test are normal, then most probably anxiety is related to psychological factors.
Doctor:The treatment is either in the form of medication and or behavioural therapy.
User:how do i get rid of this then doctor ? I am on oral contraceptive for last 3 years and I wear contact lenses too
User:the ent doc suggested being off the pills and wearing glasses for some time. But this feeling has been there for really long
Doctor:You will benefit from consulting a psychiatrist. He/she can interview you and start you on medications briefly.
User:any other test that you recommend to rule out any physical problems doctor ?
Doctor:You mentioned that you have vertigo alone.
User:or rather feeling of vertigo due to anxiety
Doctor:I would like to know your other symptoms (if any)
User:I have high triglycerides for which i take tablets
User:no other symtoms
Doctor:May i know since when you have this vertigo?
User:say last 15 years. I have just been managing but want to know if I can get rid of this feeling
Doctor:Is it continuous or intermittent in nature?
User:more when i am consious of myself, like standing in a long queue
User:or waiting to cross the road etc
Doctor:Do you feel rotating sensation or feeling of imbalance?
Doctor:May I know your age?
User:a feeling of imbalance
