User :   Actually I want to ask you about my 7 year old kid

User :   She has had a bad tummy since Friday, frequently having gripes and stools not loose.
Doctor :   ok
User :   I had some Metrogyl and Septran and gave her some of the syrup twice a day but today too she is not fine. Has a slight fever and gripes and a loose stool too. What do you suggest I do?
Doctor :   Does she have pain in the stomach>
User :   Yes she gets a griping pain not continuously.
Doctor :   Does she pass out watery stool?
Doctor :   Do you see blood in the stool?
Doctor :   Stop Septran
Doctor :   it is of no good
User :   Yes today she suddenly had a smelly and watery stool. All these days it was not watery but she had many stools. No I did not notice any blood.
Doctor :   It looks to be infection in the stomach
Doctor :   Replace good amounts of fluids

Doctor :   one glass every 4 hours
Doctor :   The infection seems not getting better even with Metrogyl
User :   What about the medication ? Yes but I gave her only one dose of Metrogyl so far.
Doctor :   I suggest you to consider calling her regular pediatrician or seeing any local doctor near by to examine her stomach
Doctor :   It is not worrisome now
Doctor :   But it can easily treated with a good course of antibiotic
User :   Yes I will be going to her doc but only later in the day. Thanks anyway.
