User :   i feel giddy and heavy in the head and weak .... after i pass stools in the mornings and if i drink some salt water i feel allright ...
User :   im , married and and self employed

User :   thats i feel that after i visit the toilet in the mornings

User :   no .. after i clean my bowels
Doctor :   Do you have any other health problems?

Diabetes/ high blood pressure/ Asthma/allergies etc?
User :   and i have bloating and fullness after every meal ....digestion takes longer time.... and heart rate goes up after heavy meals .... i dont have any of these mentioned problems

User :   yes .. dopplers tests , ecg ... xray .. sugar test ... colonoscopy
User :   im a stock broker
User :   and i pass stools thric a day semi solid
User :   all my tests show normal

User :   4 months back
User :   this stool problem i have from 3 years
Doctor :   How much water do you drink per day
User :   anywhere between 2 to 4 litres
User :   and after heavy meals i hyperventilate ,
User :   if i have rock salt water solution i get to normal

User :   i sigh a lot and as i said after i hpass stools in the morning i get uneasy confused .

User :   yes thats what the docs told me after colonoscopy
Doctor :   Are you under a lot of stress/ depression
User :   i was under stress for abt 6 months so the doc gave monoprolol 40 and lonazep

User :   if i have heavy calorie food ... i feel little pain on my left lower abdomen

User :   i drink

User :   not heavily
User :   weekly thrice mostly beer

User :   yes fatty foods like non veg
User :   or lots of spicy food
Doctor :   You need to avoid alcohol, fatty food, spicy food
User :   u mean cut down or completely avoid?
User :   and alongwith with this my cholestrol is high
User :   as in the reports
Doctor :   Completely avoiding is better
You need to see a gastroenterologist if u havent seen one already for treatment of IBS
Doctor :   Have you taken any medication
User :   i have seen him .. he gave lacto bacillus pills
User :   yes i told u the medication like the beta blocker and lonazep

User :   when i tested when i was at the peak of the this problem it was high .... then doctor referred me to a psycharist saying u shud not have this blood pressure ..... and i was on ciprolex for 6 months

User :   it was around 160/90 but now its 140/80

User :   im 5.9 and weight is 70 to 74

User :   yes

Doctor :   do you do any regular exercise?
User :   i took that since i was worried a lot abt these problems ....when the doc told i was little on bp and i started getting stressed abt these problems ... and soon had panic attacks ...depression ... but now im free from panic attacks or depression now...its just indigestion .... and feeling giddy and uneasy after i pass stools
User :   i get little exercise now
User :   or non at all
Doctor :   do you get 30 minutes of proper exercise at least?

Doctor :   Do you take fruits or fruit juices daily?

User :   no
Doctor :   Was your blood sugar normal in the tests?
User :   yes i done it around 7 times .... before food and after food it was normal .... iron is normal
Doctor :   As you have already seen Specialists, are under treatment and have got all investigations done -
Doctor :   My advise as a GP is going to be fairly simple
Doctor :   your IBS could be causing you to lose electrolytes leading to giddiness
User :   is that the reason wen i take salt water i feel better?
Doctor :   yes
Doctor :   it is most probably the reason
Doctor :   What you need to do- taking too much of alt is bad- for your BP and general health

Doctor :   Take regular fruits and fruit juices
Doctor :   limit your intake of water to about 2- 2 1/2 litres per day
Doctor :   and make sure you have curds at least once daily( if you don't have problems with curds)

User :   i get plegm if i consume curds
User :   im allergic to curds

Doctor :   You will need to make a strong effort to get a 30-40 minute regular exercise routine at least 5 times per week into your daily routine

Doctor :   you should start feeling better with that in a few weeks time
User :   moderate drinking ???
Doctor :   Alcohol is a known trigger for IBS

User :   do i have the narrowing of arteries kind of bp?
User :   or is it anxiety related bp?
Doctor :   what was your cholesterol level
User :   bad cholestrol around 300 and trigs also high ...good chol was normal
Doctor :   do you mean LDL was 300 or total cholesterol?

User :   ldl
User :   the bad cholestrol i mean
Doctor :   BP at your age and in your profession is usually due to anxiety- and such a high cholesterol level
User :   i took lot of your time doc just a few questions i willl end can i?

Doctor :   puts you at risk of developing vascular disease - atherosclerosis( narrowing of the arteries)
Doctor :   I will not be able to give you an accurate answer with out seeing all your reports; It would be best for you to discuss this issue with your treating Physician
User :   is black salt or rock salt too harmfull as refined salt?
Doctor :   just give me a moment o check out the composition of black salt
Doctor :   Black salt has a lower sodium content than normal refined salt
Doctor :   So you can use it

User :   should i go for an eletrolyte test?
Doctor :   But as I've advised before- Pls make an effort to include fruits and exercise in your daily routine
User :   yes doctor
Doctor :   Giddiness can be caused by minor changes or BPV- benign paroxysmal vertigo - as you feel better after taking salt
Doctor :   your electrolyte test might still show up in the normal range
User :   minor changes like ???

Doctor :   When you go for your next check up - which you need to in 1 months time- because of your high cholesterol - get your electrolytes done

User :   and does beer drinking make a person lose calcium and other minerals?
User :   or drinking water too much ?
Doctor :   beer acts like a diuretic- more urine production

Doctor :   so you lose salts through urine and as it triggers IBS - you lose salt in your motions as well again
Doctor :   Drinking too much of water can cause loss of salts due to excess urination

Doctor :   Ideally 2-2/1/2 ltrs per day is enough
