User :   I have a whitish mark/pimple/excess skin about 2.5 inches out from my groin on my tight. It is smooth, about the a millimetre in diameter. There is one hair growing out from it. When i out at the hair, the bit of skin moves with the hair. It doesnt itch and it is not sore. What is it and will it go away? I am seriuosly hoping it is not a gential wart. Could it be a sweat gland or something. Please help. Thanks
Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   I have gone through your query .
Doctor :   May I ask you a few questions pertaining to your problem to help you better .
User :   Yes, please do
Doctor :   May I know if you have 1.any pain, or2. any fever , or 3.any swollen lymph glands in the groin ?
User :   No fever, no swollen lymph glands..i did at one stage have pain in my penis (in the urethral) and got a STD test three times since last exposure..all clear three times
Doctor :   Ok, Very good., any discharge from your sore ?
User :   no...its not an open fact, its not sore at all, no discharge....not rough to touch..i cant actually feel it when i touch it (smooth) and it causes no discomfort...but i can see..slightly more visible when sweaty
Doctor :   Ok.
Doctor :   As painless sores are seen in 3 conditions, I would put the Differential diagnossis as : Doctor :   1. Syphphiliitic sores, but would max. rule out as there are no multiple sores and there is no lymph gland swelling which is very common
Doctor :   2. Herpes-Genital, but would again at the max. rule out as though they are painless they have a lot of itching which is absent in your case.
Doctor :   3. I would go for Warts, as they are gentle sores, In most cases genital warts do not cause any symptoms, but they are sometimes associated with itching, burning, or tenderness.
Doctor :   But it is rather difficult without examining or testing for me, I suggest a few steps to confirm : Doctor :   May I know your age please ?
User :   29....just to comment on your diagnissis
Doctor :   Please go on.
Doctor :   As time is running out , shall i proceed with testing and treatment ?
User :   like i said i have being exmained in the last 3 months on 3 separate times by a dr's for (1) syphillis, (2) Hep A&B, (3) HIV, (4) Warts (5) Herpes (6) Gonnerhera (7) Clydmida..and all three times i got the clear...sorry continue
Doctor :   Ok.
Doctor :   I might need more time to help you .
User :   thats ok
Doctor :   What were the test you did for Warts ?
Doctor :   Thank you for consulting me,
Doctor :   Take care, Bye for now .
Doctor :   Hi
User :   i am back..please continue
User :   the dr's looked at my groin area..visually exmination
Doctor :   I have to tell you a fact that HPV doesnt have a diagnostic confirmatory test.
Doctor :   1. Docotr examines you with acaetic acid , or 2. A colposcopy , if anal sores , but rather most of the times it is not confirmatory and is done on the basis of examination.
Doctor :   If the sores are negative for everything else then, it would be just HPV.
Doctor :   Please let me know if there was any test specifically mentioned as HPV Test - except for swab test ?
User :   i dont know...i dont think so...just bloods test..swab...are u tellin me so that this is defo a gential wart?...i kind of know about the HPV virus from net...jez, i'll be very upset if its a wart
Doctor :   Having genital warts may be hard to cope with, but they are not a threat to your health. People with genital warts can still lead normal, healthy lives.
Doctor :   person can have HPV for many years before it is found or causes health problems. So there is no way to know if your partner gave you HPV, or if you gave HPV to your partner. HPV should not be seen as a sign that you or your partner is having sex outside of your relationship.
User :   how can i be 100% sure it is a wart..i can blarely seen it at times...if it stays the same size or even smaller would that be significant? will it go away evetually?..or spread if a wart?
Doctor :   Signs of genital warts: One or more growths on the penis, testicles, groin, thighs, or anus.
Warts may be raised, flat, or cauliflower-shaped. They usually do not hurt.
Warts may appear within weeks or months after sexual contact with an infected person.
Doctor :   Please try to identify with the signs & symptoms I have mentioned .
Doctor :   Some men are more likely to develop HPV-related diseases than others: Men who have sex with men are about 17 times more likely to develop anal cancer than men who only have sex with women.
User :   are u saying there is a chance i could get cancer from this warts?..ok..i have to go to my doctor next week..he specialises in mens health..will be be able to tell me for defo if its a wart
Doctor :   There is a chance if at all people with warts perform Anal sexual intercourse ?
Doctor :   Did you anytime take part in that ?
User :   ok...thats defo somthing i dont do
Doctor :   Then there is no need to worry, As there are 40 types of HPV, each one causing different type of Disease pattern.
Doctor :   I shall give you a few steps for treatment , and you can choose from them and go ahead : User :   i dont mean i doubt you diagnose but i have a small wart on my is rough to touch..bigger and more pronouced..yes, please give treatments
Doctor :   1.For those looking for some genital warts home treatment, you can ask your doctor to prescribe either podofilox (Condylox) or imiquimod (Aldara).
Doctor :   oK.
Doctor :   How to Remove Genital Warts
Although topical medications are fairly simple and painless to use, they do require regular daily applications for a number of weeks. If you prefer to have your genital warts removed quickly, then you have a few options.
For small genital warts, your doctor can remove them through: Doctor :   2.Cryosurgery (freezing them off)
3.Electrocautery (burning them off
4. Trichloracetic Acid (TCA)
Doctor :   All of these genital wart removal treatments can be done in your doctor's office.
Genital warts that are especially large and hard to remove may need to be surgically removed through laser surgery. This type of treatment, though, will require you to go to a trained specialist. Additionally, laser surgery tends to be the most expensive treatment for genital warts.
Doctor :   I think for your case I would suggest topical ointment & cryotherapy as it is veryy small.
Doctor :   Do you have anything else to ask ?
User :   no..i very there a chance i could get one on my penis
Doctor :   No dont worry, get it treated immediately.
Doctor :   You would be fine.
Doctor :   But need to tell you that they can recur sometimes.
Doctor :   Thank you for ocnsulting me.
Doctor :   Take care, Bye for now.
