Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   How can I help you?
User :   is this Dr.?
Doctor :   Yes.
Doctor :   How are you doing today?
User :   Good, i got a question doctor
User :   Yesterday, i ate some spicy pork ribs my mom made, and today i went to the restroom with no problem, well today i ate more spicy pork ribs for lunch plus some beef dumplings.
User :   i ate that around 2pm......around 4.30, my stomach started aching
User :   and at 5pm-6pm, my stomach was aching pretty bad....
User :   from 630-850 (now), my stomach hasnt been hurting or aching since i wasn;t thinking about it, and i am hungry, and my mom made this spicy chicken with rice, i dont know if thats okay to eat or not.........the ache was tolerable, and it didn't hurt, it was like cramping and aching
Doctor :   That is probably gastritis.
Doctor :   Which I mentioned can happen if you are consuming spicy food and if anxiety persists.
User :   well the ache i experienced today
User :   was different then the aches i had before.
User :   is it okay to consume spicy chicken with rice for dinner?
User :   its the only thing i have at home to eat
Doctor :   To avoid them in the future, avoid spices,
Doctor :   no anxiety, restrict caffeine consumption.
Doctor :   along with this, you can use syp mucaine gel 2tsp before your meal twice a day for the next one week.
User :   well is it okay to eat
User :   the chicken? its not THAT spicy, i didnt get a lot of the sauce
User :   and the sauce is the spicy one.
User :   but its homemade, and not fast food...
User :   so is it okay to consume?
Doctor :   That should be fine.
Doctor :   Take the syrup along with your food.
User :   Okay, so what do you think the stomach ache was caused by? Because the ache is in the stomach, not the lower intestine.
User :   the ache i have now is like hunger pains, because i feel cramping in the stomach
Doctor :   The ache that you had yesterday, is probably due to gastritis.
Doctor :   and that should be fine now.
User :   so its normal?
User :   ok yea because when i had the ache i was freaking out
User :   but if u say its normal
Doctor :   It will be a concerning problem, if it persists.
Doctor :   hence dietary modifications and importantly management of stress and anxiety is absolutely necessary.
Doctor :   Have you followed what I have ssuggested?
User :   since doctor, 3 days in a row, my stomach has no hurt at all
User :   from 12-14-10 to 12-16-10, i felt normal
Doctor :   A regular diet, avoid worries, good sleep will lead you in maintaining asymptomatic life.
Doctor :   Have you followed?
User :   A lot of it was due to me thinking about it too / anxiety attack, because earlier when my ache first started, i started getting really nervous, and thinking something is terribly wrong, but once i stopped thinking about it, it went away.
User :   Yes doctor, i understand, i have been eating right, but for yesterday and today, i consumed spicy foods.
User :   not that spicy, but spicy.
User :   and yes, i need to stop with the anxiety attacks.
Doctor :   You need to continue these.
User :   Yes doctor, i will relax....i need to. Your right because...
User :   when i am at work, and i talk to all my friends, and i am keeping myself busy, i feel just fine. But when i am at home, and i am just thinking about my stomach, then it starts feeling weird
Doctor :   You need to avoid them if you want the symptoms to stop.
User :   so doctor, what is "gastritis"?
User :   since u said its caused by yesterday
Doctor :   Gastritis is a condition characterised by burning/discomfort seen in the upper belly.
Doctor :   A common complaint caused by irregular eating habits, anxiety/stress, pain killer use and so on.
Doctor :   This is usually a non concerning problem and disappear after few hours.
User :   yea, i have been under stress lately.
User :   yea it disappeared for a couple hours
Doctor :   However recurrent and chronic symptoms can cause complications.
User :   i am eating now, and i can feel my stomach digesting the food, it is gurgling, rumbling.
Doctor :   You will need to stop worrying about these rumbles.
User :   okay doctor, so since that ache is gone, it was nothing to worry about?
Doctor :   Yes, no need to worry.
User :   Will i be experiencing from Flatus later tonight?
Doctor :   It will improve and disappear once you stabilize your diet.
Doctor :   Avoid pulses and diary rich products if you are passing excessive flatus.
User :   pulses?
Doctor :   Pulses include legumes, lentils and so on.
User :   what is that?
Doctor :   They are a group of food products that include peas, leguminous crops, beans and so on.
User :   oh okay
User :   so doctor, am i all better, i mean, the ache i experienced today was different then the ache i had before 1 week ago.
Doctor :   As explained, you need not worry much.
Doctor :   You will feel better with good regular food, and preventing anxiety.
Doctor :   Have you followed my suggestions?
User :   Okay doctor, but today, i used the restroom naturally again, and it was soft stool, i don't know why my stomach felt the way it did today..
User :   yes doctor, i will follow what you say.
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
User :   Yes doctor, it's just very weird how my stomach ached like that, to me it still makes no sense.
Doctor :   Take the antacid syrup which I mentioned to you earlier.
User :   But for the past 4 days doctor, my stomach didn't hurt at all....
Doctor :   It will help you?
User :   Yes doctor, but i want my body to naturally feel better, unless it's very necessary to take it.
Doctor :   That will happen soon when you eat regularly and stop worrying.
User :   okay doctor, i agree with you.
User :   doctor, can you try to convince me that i am better, since my anxiety attacks are persistent.
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
User :   Dr, can you try to convince me that i am better, since my anxiety attacks are persistent.
Doctor :   The best way to help anxiety is by breathing exercise.
Doctor :   Practise the breathing exercise.
Doctor :   The fact that your symptoms are seen only during worrying, is probably an indication that
Doctor :   the condition doesn't mean an actual serious illness.
Doctor :   So if you are still feeling the pain, you can opt for an abdominal exercise, test and endoscopic studies, which will prove beyond doubt.
Doctor :   Have you followed?
User :   Okay Doctor, so in your professional opinion, my main problem is anxiety / over thinking / over stress / and i need to eat without thinking to much?
Doctor :   Yes, and you need to counter that.
Doctor :   Do you have any other qyery?
User :   yes doctor
User :   hold on
User :   yes doctor, i have eaten, and my ache is gone.
Doctor :   thats good.
User :   i dont think the ache i had experienced today was caused by to much spicy food, since the spicy food i ate wasn't that spicy.
User :   yeah, as soon as i felt the pain, i was freaking out the entire time, which made my ache worse.
Doctor :   continue to eat regularly.
User :   it doesn't matter if its spicy or not right doctor?
Doctor :   Preferably a less spicy one is better.
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
User :   Yes doctor, so doctor....
User :   when is it okay to start consuming pie / dairy?
Doctor :   It would be better if you wait for some time probably a month.
User :   but i am getting better though right doctor?
Doctor :   Yes, you are getting better, but since your symptoms are getting aggravated with dairy products, the time gap will be useful.
Doctor :   Have you followed?
User :   yes doctor, i agree.
User :   Is it okay to consume korean bbq meat?
Doctor :   A deep fried products are also one of the factors that can cause symptoms of gastritis.
User :   no no, i am not going to consume deep fried products, i am consuming meat thats cooked on an open fire
Doctor :   That will be fine.
User :   So doctor, breathing slowly can relax anxiety/
Doctor :   Yes.
Doctor :   count your breathes while you breathe.
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
User :   yes doctor. let me think
User :   i am going to eat a banana in a bit, is there any benefits from eating a banana?
Doctor :   Yes. I had mentioned this yesterday.
Doctor :   Banana help in softening the stools.
Doctor :   hence good to regulate bowel movement.
User :   Okay, doctor, right now i feel flatus building up, not over excessive, but it feels like the ache was caused by flatus
User :   because its relieving my ache
Doctor :   Its possible to prevent all these unwanted symptoms, only if you manage the stress and anxiety well.
Doctor :   Consider taking professional help from a gastroenterologist/counselling sessions if your symptoms are persisting.
Doctor :   You will find a face to face talk with a doctor more effective.
User :   well, i know that i am getting better, and i don't need to see professional help since my symptoms are completely absent for the past 3 days.
User :   Doctor lets say if i want to go see a doctor, how do they inspect my stomach / problem?
Doctor :   Abdominal problems are detected by abdominal examination, Xray, scans and endoscopies, apart from blood test.
User :   what are abdominal examinations and enoscopies?
User :   My mom told me that when her brother was 14 years old, he had something wrong with his stomach, so the doctor put a camera inside his stomach, and he was puking everywhere since they put the tube down his throat, do they still do that?
Doctor :   Yes, that is referred to as endoscopies.
User :   Is that the last resort, i mean, can't they just use x-rays or anything like that?
User :   Well i highly doubt i will need that, since my ache is gone.
User :   well doctor, i feel better, i am going to go take a shower, i will talk to you later, thank you doctor.
