User :   I am having a bit of gas problem for the last 1 week or so
User :   and I am not feeling hungry for most parts of the day

Doctor :   You are probably having the symptoms of indigestion with intestinal hypermotility.
Doctor :   Such condition occur in individuals suffering from irritable bowel syndrome.
Doctor :   Few factors may have triggerred the present symptoms.
Doctor :   Factors such as recent increase in stress, anxiety and change of dietary factors.
Doctor :   Since you are looking for the treatment, you will need to modify these factors along with the medications.
Doctor :   So a good healthy diet consisting of regular food, plenty of water. high fibre are necessary.
Doctor :   Regular sleep, relaxation techniques such as deep breathing exercises, physical exercise
Doctor :   Apart from this, try the following medications
Doctor :   1. Antacid syrups such as Syp Mucaine gel 2 tsp thrice a day for next one week
Doctor :   2. You can try antidiarrheal drugs such as loperamide tablet one tablet a day, if you feel you need to pass stools very frequently.
Doctor :   3. Syp gas X 1 teaspoon at night.
Doctor :   4. Avoid consuming hot, spicy diet, caffeine and other beverages.
Doctor :   Symptoms should improve with these modifications.

User :   oh I have actually planning for weight training as I am quite thin

User :   Morning breakfast at around 10:30 AM -- poha/1.5 aloo paratha/upma/dosa
User :   then lunch around 1:30 PM : three chapati + veg curries
User :   some snacks around 5:30 PM : sandwitch/juice etc
User :   and then dinner around 10 PM : 2 chapatis + rice + veg curry

Doctor :   Once thyroid hormones disturbances are ruled out,
Doctor :   the following changes can be done.
Doctor :   Along with your meals add the followings.
Doctor :   1. during the breakfast time, a glass of milk or other milk product such as butter and cheese
Doctor :   2 During lunch, dal, plenty of vegetables, sprouted cereals and legumes to be added.
Doctor :   include protein rich food such as egg, fish, meat(if you are a non vegetarian)
Doctor :   Else increase the number of chapatis
Doctor :   3. During the evening time, try milk shakes, soya milk, triptin bisuits along with your snacks.
Doctor :   4. And at diner similar modifications as that of lunch can do.
Doctor :   if you have tried egg in the afternoon, you may include other protein rich food such as meat during the diner.
Doctor :   Apart from this, you can include other protein rich food products such as nuts, sprouts and so on.
Doctor :   You can also try protein supplements such as B protein or other nutrilite protein supplements.
Doctor :   These necessary diet changes should help you in gaining weight.

User :   `sure Doc. I cant eat meat but i can include eggs in my diet...

User :   One more thing...the syrups that you mentioned earlier.. should those be taken before or after meal?
