User :   hello i have a question about my blood preasure.

User :   im 40yrs of age and i run a 1.5 miles a day. but i have taked my blood preasure for the past three days and im get on avg. 129 / 103.

User :   should i be really worried about this
Doctor :   do you consume alcohol ?

User :   i do not smoke but i do consume alcohol.

User :   the thing is is that my sys used to be high and my dia was low. now its the other way around.
User :   i drink enough to get me to that happy spot and stay there
Doctor :   are you taking any medications?
User :   im on tek turna 20m. but i ran out about a two weeks ago
User :   i was hoping that with my activity level i would not need it any more
Doctor :   well the fact remain is that high blood pressure is a problem that can be only maintained with medications
Doctor :   with exercise we can only decrease the dose
Doctor :   but you will be needing them
Doctor :   your blood pressure is not in that high range that you should be really worrid about
Doctor :   more over you are exercising which is great
Doctor :   so don't worry too much about it
User :   as i cant get any of my meds filled till tue due to the holiday do you think i should be ok. i ask only because the blood preasure charts online say that my dia number may be too high. how much stock should i put into that?
