User :   I had brain surgery wednesday for a 3rd ventricularostony......last 2 days im freezibg cold

Doctor :   Ok, if get it , i think toy had a ventriculostomy operation
Doctor :   in there the surgeon deals with the mid brain
Doctor :   where the hypothalamus is situated , which is responsible for thermoregulation ( regulation of body heat )
User :   ok.....should I be heading to outpatients?
Doctor :   hence due to temporary disturbance to the hypothalamus you might be having temperature dis regulation
Doctor :   it is a self limiting process
Doctor :   you need not worry until your body temperature drops to 36.5degree celcius
Doctor :   you can warm your body by a hot air warmer or thick insulted blankets
User :   I am chilled to the bone right now
Doctor :   have you tested your temperature ?
User :   no
Doctor :   if you have a thermometer in home do it now , if less than 36.5 on celcius scale rush to the ER
User :   I am in a 100 F bed....still freezing`
Doctor :   it can lead to severe hypothermia if it continues below 36.5

Doctor :   you are safe , you can warm yourself with a hot air warmer
User :   should I be checking my temp???
Doctor :   kee an eye on your body temperature and check it every hour if it gos below then rush to hospital ,

Doctor :   well its long time now ,but i still consider you safe until the body temperature is within range
Doctor :   this coldness could also be as a post effect of anesthesia sometimes
User :   I see but 2 days later????
Doctor :   since its since two days i think you can wait for this day more if it doesn't get down then visit the specialist directly if possible
Doctor :   its a commonly expected post op effect
