User :   My boyfriend is having an issue getting hard for intercourse. He will get semi-hard, but then either goes soft at the start of intercourse or ejaculates quickly (within 1 to 3 minutes). He is in good health otherwise, we are both 30, no children and we are both physically capable of sex. He admits to watching porn a lot and playing with himself but not really becoming erect while doing so. I am beginning to feel as if he finds me unattractive and is unable to become aroused by me. I've mentioned Viagra but he became defensive. He admits me may be addicted to porn, but he's not sure if what he does is excessive. I want to keep my relationship with him, but I hate how this is beginning to make me feel. Any advice?
Doctor :   hello
User :   Hello
User :   Hi. Are you able to read my initial question that I typed?
Doctor :   yes i did just going thru it
Doctor :   does he smokes or drinks alcohol ?
User :   He smokes, but hasn't drank in over 4 months.
Doctor :   ok and is he in good shape ?
User :   He lost a lot of weight over the past 6 months and has some extra skin from that, but otherwise yes.
Doctor :   is he under any stress ?
Doctor :   ok now let me first make things clear for you , now there is NOTHING known as a guy having a semi hard on because he finds the women not attractive, thats not possible
User :   He's currently worried about his job, he thought he had a hernia, but it turned out it was an infected hair follical and the antibiotics have cleared that up. He did miss time at work though and we are waiting to see if they allow him to return.
Doctor :   the erection is due to the blood filling
Doctor :   now let me tell you few common reasons at his age which may be causing it
User :   ok
Doctor :   if he was not aroused he would not have ANY erection at all
User :   I understand the mechanics of it, but the feeling is still there for me.
Doctor :   now usually the main culprit lies in smoking and alcohol
Doctor :   you DONT have to take it personal on you in any way , now you have also mentioned that when he masturbates then also he is not able to get a hard erection right ?
User :   Well sometimes he is. Like I wasn't with him two nights ago and he was watching porn and he said he was able to get really hard. Then last night I was with him and he was barely able to get hard at all and then as soon as we started trying for intercourse it just went soft.
Doctor :   now that means that the reason lies in not complete filling of the penis, being over weight, stress are also big reasons
User :   He's not overweight. He's actually probably about 10 to 15 lbs underweight currently.
Doctor :   also i ca assure you that such condition is completely curable at any age
Doctor :   but before that we need to find the cause
Doctor :   stress is one
User :   Well I was on Yahoo Answers and some of the people said he is probably overstimulating himself. Would or should Viagra be an option?
Doctor :   leading to what is called as psychological erectile dysfunction
Doctor :   many men have noticed that doing aerobic exercise really has shown very positive results, as you know it improves the circulation in the body and that includes the penis
Doctor :   also he do need to stop masturbating for a week
Doctor :   now before medications are to be prescribed if he can be cured the natural way then thats the right thing
User :   Masturbating and sex or just masterbation?
Doctor :   masturbation
Doctor :   you can have sexual intercourse
User :   I'm not sure he'll be able to stop watching his porn....
Doctor :   also there is a test called as DOPPLER ULTRASOUND of penis, that will show if there is proper filling of blood
Doctor :   It seems you have moved out of the chat window. Please log in back if you have medical querie
