Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   let me explain it to you
User :   k
Doctor :   it is natural for the ears to get blocked when one has cold or gets exposed to colder climates
Doctor :   it is quite natural
Doctor :   this happens due to what we call as eustachian tube block
Doctor :   it is the auditory tube
Doctor :   this connects the ear with the nose
Doctor :   hence, when we have cold, the tube automatically closes and re opens later
Doctor :   once the cold goes off, the e tube also gets normal
Doctor :   you may follow these measures to feel better
Doctor :   1. cover your ears with cotton buds when you expose to cold climate or get a cold
Doctor :   2. drink warm water and do warm saline gargles
Doctor :   3. you could chew lozenges like vicks or halls when you feel the block , this will release the block and better hearing
Doctor :   4. you could also try the valsalva maneouvre
Doctor :   in this the nose in closed with the fingers and one blows air through the mouth without letting air escape
Doctor :   this is known to release any discomfort or block
Doctor :   5. steam inhalations with vicks capsules, or a drop of eucalyptus oil in it would also help a lot for the tubes, ear and sinusitis
Doctor :   i am sure by doing this , you will get good relief
User :   alright doctor
User :   ill follow all of thois
Doctor :   you could also use decongestant nasal drops like nasivion
Doctor :   2 drops when the nose gets blocked
Doctor :   keep your ears as dry as possible
