User :   I am 49 Female xxxx. This sep I had viral fever and freq urination. altho it turnd to b UTI and got cured I got FBS and PP done which was high. After strict diet and walking I got my PP down to 125 in two weeks. I am fine with no symptoms till now and have lost 5 kgs!
Doctor :   ok. please provide your height and weight.
User :   heght 150cm. wt was 74 kgs now iam I on the right track? However now it is dry weather in india. Humidity is 55%. Is it bcoz of this that I feel dry mouth and lips?
Doctor :   increased thirst, increased frequency of urine, increased appetite could signal diabetes. is there anyone in family with diabetes?
Doctor :   keep your sugar check in place, with FBS and PPBS check. along with these, get your HbA1C levels tested, it can tell your sugar control status for last 2-3 months time.
Doctor :   and if HbA1C test shows deranged values, then you will need diet control, exercises and medications for complete sugar control.
User :   I take 2 cloves of garlic, soaked fenugreek seeds in the morning. For sometime my mouth feels ok. then again I feel the dryness. No increase in apetite, or increased urination only dryness in mouth. Is it the weather?I got sugar checked on sep 29th. It was 125 PP.When should I chk again? .
Doctor :   you can get the FBS, PPBS, and HbA1C levels tested anytime now
User :   pl tell me if it could be the weather, since the dryness feeling is not constant.
Doctor :   it could be weather to some extent, but since one value has come deranged for you, a repeat check will enable to concretely tell whether you have diabetes and related symptoms or not.
Doctor :   hence do not hesitate with going ahead with tests suggested. the results will help clear your doubts.
User :   It is as if the saliva has thickened that kind of feeling. 2 people known to me are also feeling the same now a days.
User :   I have no related symptom. and I am scared!
Doctor :   you need not be scared, with increased humidity you can have these symptoms, it can happen, but the same symptoms can happen with diabetes, hormonal issues too. hence it is wise to lok for any such underlying causes
Doctor :   focus on ruling out these causes, and be relaxed if the tests come back normal
Doctor :   and if the tests do show you that your sugar levels or hormonal levels are deranged, then early start of adequate treatment will help prevention of complications.
User :   what if results are not normal. I am scared. I don't test bcoz of this.
Doctor :   as I said, if the tests do show that your sugar levels or hormonal levels are deranged, then early start of adequate treatment will help prevention of complications. and you can have a healthy life
Doctor :   do not postpone your further investigations, it will be of benefit to you alone
Doctor :   if they come back normal , you wil lbe relaxed
Doctor :   if they don't, atleast timely action will make sure that you remain fine.
Doctor :   have you followed what I have said?
Doctor :   is there anything else I can help you with?
