Doctor :   Vivitrol is an opioid antagonist group of drug used for management of alcohol dependence and opioid dependence.
User :   im am 32 and have been drinking for 16 yrs
User :   have been usin rec drugs and pres drugs for as long
Doctor :   ok. this medication does have side effecst and teh dosage needs to be titrated based on your response, so do not take it on your own
Doctor :   but discuss with your treating doctor and take it under supervision.
Doctor :   and should avoid alcohol and opium use completely while being on this medication
User :   my wife is a nurse, i livve in the and have found a web site who will supply it, is it effective now ive stopped everything?
Doctor :   also since you have been on alcohol for long, a liver function tests is necessary to look for well functioning of liver before starting this medication
Doctor :   ok. I would suggest you to take it under supervision of your doctor as sensitivity rates are high for it and maximum patients are at risk of overdose due to this sensitivity issue
User :   ive had a liver function test a few months ago, it came up as ok but only if i stoped rinking and gave it a chance to repair, guess ive been lucky that way

User :   ive stopped taken any drugs over a year ago and drinking 4 months ago. feel very comfortable with myself, just the cravings are very bad but not giving into them

Doctor :   even when you are on the medications, cravings can come
Doctor :   also the newer dosage therapy of ONce a month dose is availale

User :   aye no what ur saying, these are really taking oer my thinking. Was hoping the vivitrol would help me get back to normal, but would have to buy them over the internet
