User:last week my son had fever and vomiting
User:he was hospitaized
User:we took a regular scan and they said that some complications in his kidney
User:they said it was hydronephrosis and PUJ narrowing
User:there was a little swelling in the left kidney , so the doctor said that he has to undergo a functional scan
User:DTPA renogram scan was done on Monday

User:a hospital in my hometown (TN)
User:we took the scan in Trivandrum
User:and just got the report
Doctor:It says there is an obstruction at the Pelvi ureteral junction
Doctor:and there is gross swelling above it because of non drainage of urine
Doctor:this also lead to mild kidney dysfunction
User:Should i be worried about this? and how can this be treated?
Doctor:The most common reason of this obstruction in older children is kinking of the junction
Doctor:The pipe might kink
Doctor:and leads to temporary obstruction
Doctor:Generally if it is mild dysfunction Pediatric Nephrologist would prefer to wait with follow up scans

Doctor:further they would put a tube so that the urine
Doctor:is passed and the kidney function recovers
