User :   Hi,
Need some help. Me and my GF had protected sex four days after she completed her periods on 31 Jan 2011, for three continuous days. She had some thin vaginal bleeding, three days after we had sex.. Her periods are on a 28 days cycle and therefore she would not have started ovulating before the 10th or the 11th.
She was supposed to start her periods yesterday but not yet started.. Is there any reason to be worried.. with regards to pregnancy..
Thanks a ton
User :   hi
Doctor :   Hi,
User :   hi
User :   I have mentioned the details of the situation... anything that you could advise
User :   helloo..
Doctor :   No , the pregnancy is not a chance here
Doctor :   the cycle disturbance could be attributed to hormonal imbalance
User :   actually this is the second time she has had this
User :   if not pregnancy then what could it be?
User :   the bleeding..
Doctor :   sits normal for a women to have 2 or 3 days period delay
Doctor :   and that happens as a result of hormonal imbalance
User :   what could be problem regarding the bleeding in between..
User :   she has experienced for the second time
Doctor :   Is she on any medications ?
User :   nope
Doctor :   For how many days did she bleed in between and how many pads did she use ?
User :   it was only for a few hours.. and she use two pads
Doctor :   need not worry i could be traumatic bleeding
User :   ok..
User :   one more thing doc..
Doctor :   yes, please
User :   could you explain to me how the ovulation cycle works..
Doctor :   yes,
Doctor :   in the beginning of the cycle the estrogen hormone level dominates and leads to growth of the uterine glands
Doctor :   and later when the estrogen reaches peak the LH surge occurs which will cause ovulation
User :   ok
User :   thank you so much for your help..
Doctor :   ans later the progestron hormone level dominates and causes increased secretion form the glands and one day at the end of the period when the progesterone level drops then bleeding occurs
Doctor :   you are welcome
Doctor :   Are you able to read me ?
