User :   hi i have a 9month old son
User :   and lately he has been suffering from a cold and cough

User :   it has been quiet a while since he has been suffering and the doctor gave him the medicine ventolin
User :   about 2 days ago i noticed that he has some nose stuff coming out from his ear
User :   is this normal due to the cold he has?
Doctor :   yes children have a connection from the nose to the ear
Doctor :   through a connection which is small
Doctor :   called auditory tube
Doctor :   so the phlegm can come out from the ear too
Doctor :   That is fine
User :   so it is normal that he has some kind of yellowish grey stuff typical his nose stuff coming out from his ear
Doctor :   yeah it could be normal but it is always better to get physically examined by a pediatrician
