User :   I have a disc herniation at L4-L5 and nerve impingement.

User :   Finished a couple months of physio therapy, was on ibuprofens for a while and then got a nerve root block shot in November....

User :   The pain has now disappeared. I know it is just temporary relief.

User :   My doc said we will wait for a couple months and if the pain is still persistent, we would have to go in for a surgery.

User :   ok. Due to the nerve impingement, there is a burning sensation in my thighs and some numbness. Of course after the nerve root block shot on my spine, the numbness & burning sensation has reduced.
