User :   i used to have problem while walkin, climbing stairs n even getting been thru lots of tests and almost 50 days of hospitalization
User :   even now nothing has been diagnosed and i have just been prescribed multi vitamins

User :   so wanted to know whether the symptoms i have is similar to hypothyriodism or not
Doctor :   May I know if TSH levels have been done during your hospitalisation and check ups?
User :   yes all normal dont have the reports but all where in limits
User :   only CPK was high

User :   around 4 months
User :   i used to be very good trekker n boxer
User :   have trekked 2 days straigt till Mt everest base camp
User :   used to have exclnt stamina
User :   and now dont feel the same

User :   yes i had malaria in sept first week

User :   dec 2009 : Boils in leg, June 2010 - Food Poisoning, July 2010 - Flu, end July 2010 - Intestinal infections, August 2010 - Broke my rib as legs couldnt balance, end August 2010 - Leg fracture again due to disbalance, September 2010 - Malaria, Got admitted in XXX on 20th September n then in Breach Candy on 2nd Oct for further investigations
User :   generalised triedness since last 4 months and its been deterioating

User :   plus more than all i got married 4 months back n since then i have getting worse...

User :   its weakness in thighs sir to be very accurate
User :   i can see somethin like myositis

User :   thighs have become big and also i got a very odd shape belly instead rest body is bonny

User :   yes.. can say legs have gone worse 80% and hands around 40%
User :   cant do push ups

User :   and also for this whole year i cud do much physical exercise
User :   i get twichin all over my body but no excessive sweating

User :   no i used to have high BP and then for 1 year intake of alcohol was high but tht was mainly beer and a bottle a day thts all

User :   emg tests are bit off rest inline

User :   i used 2 sleep for not more than 4 hrs on week days but long during weekends and earlier b4 all these things started at times i didnt used to sleep n then go for treks
User :   plus i used to stay alone so food habits n intake of water was also very less hardly 2 litres a day

User :   but since last 4 months no alcohol lots of foods fruits n water but still it got worse its only from last 10 days i am feeling kinda better

Doctor :   Muscle weakness are known to occur in certain neurological conditions, including motor neurone disease, spinal disorders, or demyelinating disorders which includes multiple sclerosis.

Doctor :   Research studies have shown that most common cause for tiredness and weakness are lack of proper, constant sleep and insufficient energy.

User :   and doc is there somethin on the food side which can gimme stamina as i am pure veggie

User :   also i was considering joinin yoga and gym will it add any value...
User :   as even yesterday evening i tried riding a cycle and i cudnt paddle it
User :   i had to use my hands to pull my legs upto pedals
Doctor :   A proper mix of diet comprising of cereals and pulses, plenty of vegetables and 3 - 6 servings of fruits can help in maintaining the energy levels constantly high.
Doctor :   Keep stocks of energy boosters along with you such as biscuits, chocolates or even glucose along with you.
User :   i usually drink gatorade
Doctor :   Dehydration and lack of enough amount of water can also add up to the symptoms of fatiguability.
Doctor :   Along with maintaining a proper diet, its necessary that you drink plenty of water.
Doctor :   Water requirements are higher when body metabolism is higher.
Doctor :   This inturn is higher when you are active at work or during physical exercise.
User :   with all these i can see improvements within a month... :)
Doctor :   Hence consider drinking plenty of water before you start for work,
Doctor :   keep a bottle of water near your desk top and keep sipping this during your work.
Doctor :   A normal individual needs atleast 1 - 2 litres of water per day.
User :   u knw wht sir u r the only one who is showin hope tht there is light at the end of tunnel as rest have feared me to death with the words of MND
Doctor :   This requirement is higher in individuals, who have higher body metabolism/
Doctor :   Following this, according to the research papers, psychological factors such as depression, stress, anxiety are the next factor responsible for fatiguability.
Doctor :   Hence its also necessary that you keep this hope going.
Doctor :   The positive point in your case is that your reports and physical examination are normal and no evidence of medical illness have been seen.
Doctor :   Hence positive approach with proper sleep, good nutrition and adequate hydration should solve your problems.
