User :   was telling am marginal overweight because of which my normal BP range is 145/85 and hence i take Covance 50 mg in mrg
User :   is it right medicine for me

User :   almost since last couple of years
User :   height is 170 cms, weight is 89 kg and age is 35 yrs

User :   2 days back
User :   140/85
Doctor :   ok. are you on diet control and exercises along with taking medications?
User :   have started GYM recently and take low sodium salt and am vegeterian
User :   i also take egg sometime
Doctor :   ok. have you restricted oil use? and butter ghee use?
User :   minimal
Doctor :   avoid egg yolk, take only egg white

Doctor :   no, the medication use is fine. wait and watch, if BP does not come down to 130/80 range even with diet changes and and exercises then dose readjustment should be considered
Doctor :   have you checked lipid profile? (cholesterol)?
User :   it is perfectly fine
User :   am i suppose to take covance 50 mg on daily basis
Doctor :   yes, you need to take them on daily basis for proper BP control. are you taking it regularly?
User :   i sometime avoid it
User :   since am scared of its side effects
Doctor :   you need to take it else your BP will not be in control and you may have more complications
User :   but does it have its own side effects?
Doctor :   for certain medications the benefits outweigh the risks, so in your case taking it is more beneficial than not taking it
Doctor :   do not skip your medications
User :   but can u elaborate on side effects
Doctor :   it has far less side effects than other ones for BP control and is particularly safe for long term use.
Doctor :   others include : nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and headache
