Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   Good afternoon.
User :   Hello doctor
User :   good afternoon
Doctor :   How can I help you?
User :   I have issues in digesting leafy vegetables
User :   is that a problem
Doctor :   Can you elaborate?
Doctor :   What symptoms do you get while having leafy vegetables?
User :   whenever i eat leafy vegetables the same get passed in stools as it is
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Since when have you noticed this?
User :   does that mean that its not getting digested or I need not worry bevause i donot get any pain or anything
Doctor :   Since when have you noticed this?
User :   for the past 2 years approx
Doctor :   Let me explain to you.
Doctor :   Leafy vegetables are source of vitamin's, minerals and fibres.
Doctor :   As they pass through the gut these essential nutrients are absorbed as much needed.
Doctor :   The remaining part of the vegetables and fibres are excreted out.
User :   ok
Doctor :   So, if you do not have symptoms of nutritional deficiencies such as protein deficiency, vitamin deficiencies you could just be doing good
Doctor :   and you need not worry.
User :   ok thanks for clarifying
User :   one more question
Doctor :   if such deficiencies are seen then you probably may be allergic to the leafy vegetables, and hence they are passed without any changes in the stool.
Doctor :   Hope I have answered your first query.
Doctor :   Please proceed with you next query.
User :   i have acidity problems, will consumption of citrus fruits such as oranges or lemon juice in food aggrevate it
Doctor :   Citrus fruits are good source of vitamin C - ascorbic acid.
Doctor :   As the name suggest they are acidic components,
Doctor :   however they are not known to causes changes in the gastric acid levels and pH levels
Doctor :   which are causes of acidity, gastritis and gastric ulcers.
Doctor :   So in general, my answer to your second question is no.
Doctor :   Have you followed what I have suggested?
User :   Thanks doctor
