User :   my fiance just starting having her right pupil appear bigger than her left.

User :   she is recently getting over a bout of what our familt doctor diagnosed as mono

User :   lately though she had been tired and sleepy and she complains that her eyes are achey or they burn ..both of them but moreso the right and she says its sensitive to light

User :   she has no medical insurance and we are not getting married until november to get her on my plan ....I was just about to drive her to the closest VA hospital where she has benefits

User :   but its 45 miles away so i wanted to consult someone immediately so here i am
Doctor :   is there any redness of the eye ?
User :   no...the whites look normal

User :   other symptoms shes been having
User :   shes been to the va clinic many times about sinus infections and having blood from her right nasal passage ...she had a scab up there for a while

User :   the va physicians assistant blew it off and had her buy bacitracin
User :   and told her to put it up there 4 times a day

User :   she did and the blood has stopped and the scab is healing

User :   we thought maybe it was mold from a humidifer we were using

User :   we just changed the filter ...the gauge was broken
User :   doc ..she is 45 and in fantastic shape ...we dont smoke drink or do drugs ...we cycle and exercise reguarly

User :   and we do not eat fast food ...are we looking at a possible brain tumor here?
Doctor :   there is nothing to worry calm down

Doctor :   it is ordinary post illness fatigue syndrome

User :   yes. but how is it that her one pupil is bigger than the other?
Doctor :   to know what it is, it needs a physical examination and also need to check for reflexes in the eye.
Doctor :   this will be done when you take her to VA hospital
Doctor :   as of now give her one advil tab
User :   ok ...just reassure me are u certain its not cancer
User :   and should we rush up there tonite or would tomorrow morning be sufficent?
Doctor :   with the symptoms you have described there is no symptom suggestive of cancer
Doctor :   take your time there is no hurry
User :   according to web md there is. thats what alarmed us
Doctor :   give her proper rest and plenty of liquids

Doctor :   it always leeds to false interpretation and unnecessary anxiety

User :   ok ...she is also starting to have a sore throat and she had that really bad at the tail end of her mono

User :   and she just told me she felt like this physcially right after she had her hysterectomy back in 2007
User :   i dont know if any of that is releavant or not
User :   she also has a very sliver of a slight fever
Doctor :   yes after any stress like illness or surgery or infection during recovery people do feel like this physically
Doctor :   ok
User :   alright doc u sold us glad I came on here
Doctor :   feverishness, felling of tierdness, burning eyes, all are part of the same syndrome
Doctor :   do not worry it is not brain tumor
User :   she wants to know how long will this last and why her one pupil keeps getting bigger than the other and on
Doctor :   give her plenty of oral liquids and rest
Doctor :   a week at max 2 weeks but she will feel progressively better day by day
