User :   I had FNAC when i noticed first few

User :   the doc said they are mere fatty tumors
User :   from then the number is slowly increasing
User :   now i have around 30 such small lumps
User :   the largest one being around 2 cms in dia which is on my lower back
Doctor :   Ok
User :   the tumors are round in shape, dome shaped to be precise, soft, movable and are not causing any pain
Doctor :   Yes
User :   later i met numerous docs, they all said nothing to worry about them
Doctor :   They are called lipomas
Doctor :   There is fat accumulation in lums
User :   my question is whether they are lipomas or neurofibromas
Doctor :   fibromas are hard
User :   the later is more frightening than the former
Doctor :   lipomas are soft
Doctor :   Yes
User :   any other distinctions from physical appearence
Doctor :   Because FNA was done
Doctor :   and it showed fatty accumulation , they are lipomas
Doctor :   FNA is the surest diagnostic test
Doctor :   Fibrimas very rough
Doctor :   hard
Doctor :   shape is irregular
Doctor :   borders are irregular
Doctor :   some times painful
User :   of i see
Doctor :   When lipomas reach 4 cm or more in size or are multiple, liposuction becomes an excellent alternative to excisional surgery, which is the treatment of choice for small lipomas.
Doctor :   So you have tow options excision surgery
Doctor :   2 liposuction
Doctor :   But they are not harm ful
Doctor :   They are more cosmotic problem
User :   I also treated them as lipomas but recently i met a surgeon who excised few of them. He said they are nuerofibromas by simple physical inspection. Even he showed me the excised lumps
User :   those are light rose in colour
Doctor :   Frommy experience , usually after surgery they send it to the pathology lab
Doctor :   and they know the diagnosis
User :   he said no need to send it for biopsy
Doctor :   Then diagnosis becomes tough
Doctor :   He should have send them ideally
User :   he didn't
User :   later i met my family doc
Doctor :   Next time when you have surgery ask him to send for pathology lab
User :   he touched them and moved them around, he declared them as lipomas
User :   okk doc
Doctor :   Very good
User :   I have some of my pics, you can see and then judge
Doctor :   Yoyr physician will exaclt tell you what is the lump
Doctor :   Only after proper physical examnation we can say what is the lump
User :   oh i see
Doctor :   thank you for consulting
User :   thank you
User :   have a good day
Doctor :   Thank you
